Last month, we informed you about the upcoming release of the Resident Evil 4 HD Project. And last week, ElAnalistaDeBits shared a comparison video between this mod and the original PC version. This comparison video shows how much better this fan-made HD project is, and why all RE4 fans should be excited about it.
Resident Evil 4 HD Project is a mod that completely restores the visuals using the original real-world sources. Moreover, it corrects texture mapping and 3D modeling issues, and enhances flat objects to true 3D models.
Modders Albert and Cris have done an incredible job, and the following video will give you an idea of what you can expect from it. As you can see, this fan mod puts to shame Capcom’s original “Ultimate HD” PC version. To be honest, this feels like the best remaster we could have possibly asked, and – best of all – it will be free of charge.
Resident Evil 4 HD Project will release on February 2nd, 2022. Alongside its graphical improvements, it will also have full HD videos, as well as the original DoF blurring effect from the GC/Wii versions. And yes, there will be a FOV so you can tweak the camera perspective.

True, but this is never going to happen, and at the same time i’m still here waiting for a miracle on the upcoming remaster of Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver.
I didn’t know there is a Legacy of Kain remaster in the works.
They probably find a way to f@ck it up somehow.

This looks crazy good but the game’s controls are an abomination for someone who never played it at the time. That’s why I’m waiting for the official remake as it has some of the worst controls I’ve seen on PC.

Then you consider just how old this game is it was still mind-blowing for its day.
I back this project years ago when they first announced it. Bought Resident evil HD on PC when it released and this project was announced shortly after. I have not touched the game since gamecube and have been waiting for this to be finished. I have donated to them a few times and I plan to send them the cost of a full game once this is released. The don’t charge, the mod is free but they do accept donations. It has been awesome watching this project unfold over the last 7-8 years. I cant belive it is almost over.
