Really good game back in the game
Great! I have box the original game from 90’s years
Thanks GOG.
I’ve already got the game on GOG but haven’t played it yet. It’s supposed to be well worth playing.
One of the only games that uses a voxel engine, a real gem of a game.
Also one of the first games to pioneer fully orchestrated music in the industry. Interesting how such a revolutionary game was easily forgotten by the masses.
yes it came out didnt play it though, its also getting a sequel there is a trailer out there and a article on this site.
It already came out back in 2017 under the title Outcast: Second Contact. I guess the marketing wasn’t all that so not many people are aware of it still.
It must have done decently, because they’re working on Outcast 2 now.
Maybe. But what I do know is that the sequel probably wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for THQ Nordic and their pro-consumer choices so far. They’ve brought back a lot of old IPs and franchises that have likely been rejected or ignored by every other publisher.
It’s also on GOG, which is recommended if you’re the kind of guy who likes to take pride in fully owning the stuff you buy. 😛
I always love the way these old voxel games look. I used to play the old Novalogic games for days, especially Delta Force and Armored Fist. I’ve always meant to try this one out, looks like now’s the time.
Oh man.. good ol’ Novalogic.. some great memories there.
Ah the the good ole days playing Delta Force games for hours non-stop!
Old voxel games aged not that bad as traditional 3D games from the same era imo. I remember being so impressed by Comanche 3 visuals with all those uneven terrain and mountains looking so good back in the day.
I bet if i could play it today wiht somewhat higher internal resolution i wouldn’t complain a bit about its visuals. Same for this Outcast update, looks great for an old game.
looks like it plays bad, like the first one
This is one of my favorite games of all time. Definitely worth playing, especially for people who appreciates immersion, interactivity, exploration and a great story.
good to know appreciate the shout out
