Ubisoft is giving away free copies of Far Cry 3 until September 11th

Ubisoft is currently giving away free copies of Far Cry 3. From today, September 7th, and until September 11th 09:30 (local time), PC gamers can acquire their free copy of this classic Far Cry game.

Far Cry 3 is an open-world first-person shooter that has an iconic villain.

With Far Cry 3, players step into the shoes of Jason Brody; a man alone at the edge of the world, stranded on a mysterious tropical island. In this savage paradise, where lawlessness and violence are the only sure thing, players dictate how the story unfolds, from the battles they choose to fight to the allies or enemies they make along the way. As Jason Brody, players will slash, sneak and shoot their way across the island in a world that has lost all sense of morality.

Far Cry 3 came out in 2012 and is considered one of the best parts of the series.

You can acquire your free copy from here.

  1. I imagine there are some people coming into gaming or they are getting old enough that their parents will let them play a game like this but the vast majority of gamers already own it if they like Far Cry games.

        1. Far Cry 5 lets me fish and lets me have a massive open world BTW 2 is great as well but i really did enjoy 5 a lot not sure why its hated so badly.

  2. A friend of mine loved this game, I never finished it because the world itself never caught me at all or the gameplay itself. On the contrary I played Blood Dragon which was a standalone expansion for this If I’m not mistaken, and finished it in almost a single playthrough, it was pure weird fun and simple. Never went back to finish FC3 though.

Same happened to me with FC5 started it and it was “good enough”, but not sure why but these games never give me that sensation of wanting more of it like other games that you can’t stop playing.

    1. Blood Dragon was pretty good. The only 2 games I played from start to finish was the first Far Cry and Blood Dragon. I just lose interest in the other Far Cry games after a while. Today’s gamers might consider the first Far Cry to be a bit on the hard side though.

  3. Their broken a$$ store doesnt work, when you click on the the game to get it free, it just takes you to the checkout with nothing in your cart. Ive tried everything I can to get it to work, Ubishit cant get anything to run right…. what a shocker…

EDIT tried again from another link navigating from their store page, can finally get the game to add to my account, follow all the prompts to continue, last message it gives me “this Key activation is invalid” LOL seriously, even EGS gets 1 sad thing right, and thats giving free stuff.

    ubish*t get your sh*t together… jeez..

  4. To this day I haven’t been able to give this game a proper try.

It’s a technical mess just like all Ubisoft games. Stuttering and shtty frames since it came out.

  5. 1. killing animals for pelts (4 hours)
    2. climbing radio towers (8 hours)
    3. liberating outposts (16 hours)
    4. play the actual game (6 hours)
