thegameawards has shared a deep dive video for New World, in which Amazon Games’ developers share more details about it. Moreover, this video features some new gameplay footage from this upcoming MMORPG.
In New World, players will decide how to play, what to do, and whom to work with-or against-in an evolving world that transforms with seasons, weather, and time of day. The game promises to feature emergent gameplay and rich social features. It will also have deep Twitch integration with broadcaster-led events, achievements, and rewards.
New World will be using the Lumberyard Engine, and will release on August 31st.

looks like it will be generic and gone within 6 months of release
Amazon Game Studio really should just stick to either Localization like Lost Ark, or maybe even consider doing Remasters. They have the technical know how and money to hire great programmers, artists, etc; but I don’t think that will ever bring about a hit so long as it’s based off Amazon Game Studios own I.Ps.
This just doesn’t look good at all, nothing they’ve shown off or made has looked good. I feel like this is the fault of the fact they seem to be trying to force something that will be a a major hit, opposed to building it organically like all of the recently massively popular by word of mouth games that have come out.
