At long last, Bandai Namco released an official gameplay trailer for Elden Ring. Elden Ring is a third-person action role-playing game with a fantasy setting.
As we’ve already reported, the game will feature a new world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin.
Elden Ring promises to go beyond simple changes to the game systems that can be found in FromSoftware’s games. For example, the game will feature an open-world environment, will allow players to ride a horse and fight enemies and while riding it. Moreover, the game’s NPC characters will be more compelling than before, and it will offer depth to exploration in a way that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice did not.
Bandai Namco has also confirmed that the game will release on January 21st, 2022.

Yup, totally the same quality as Elden Ring. Notice the fact the monster has literally zero f*cking texture detail, and then look at the castle wall in the Elden Ring picture. Clearly, there has been a jump of texture detail since the PS3 days, but here you are saying it looks like a PS3 game.
The game has been in development for years, it’s cross platform, you weren’t ever getting Demon’s Souls from From Software. From a graphical standpoint, this is slightly better or comparable to Sekiro. That’s what you were always getting, and that’s exactly what was delivered here.
It still doesn’t look like a PS3 game, so kindly, shut your f*cking hole.

Ive been playing every genre of games since the end of the 80s and have understood and been somewhat successfull at every kind of game. But this souls/from software situation is just something I have come to terms with, that I will never understand.
ANY other game with these mechanics, would have gotten labelled as frustrating – having pacing issues – whatever else.
But somehow these guys managed to have this become a general opinion of quality… im baffled, at least ive learned its not for me in the process.

I dont get the hate for the solus combat mechanics? Yes its too “roll” heavy for my liking, but its the best thing we’ve gotten since Die By The Swords mechanics in the lasts 20 years.
Its much better than button mashing of “batman arkham” combat or or the devil may cry system.

anything is better than batman, but batman doesnt pit you against giant monsters that are too large to dodge with rolls.
batman games aren’t hack and slash, I can’t stand hack and slash games. mad max did something similar and it feels great to play. my favorite is the combat in overgrowth and jedi knight games.

Usually I agree but this game looks like dog sh*t. F*king bloom lighting? It looks like Darks Souls 2 or 3. Not even as good as Demon Souls. What the f*k were they thinking? The textures are all sh*t and the geometry is all bland. Is this gonna be a ps4 or something?

Looks f*king awesome, can’t wait to sink thousands of hours into it. They just make straight up video games with no bullsh*t, no microtransactions, you earn everything from playing the game. Best atmosphere, lore and immersion. Hidetaka Miyazaki is the man, the dude just can’t make a bad game. It’s been over 2 years with zero information and I never doubted them, this trailer showed an insane amount, it’s going to be the t*ts, bring it on!

I’ve seen people saying games with the best melee combat in video games (MonHun, Dark Souls, Sekiro & Nioh) are for low IQ gamers and here I am watching 2 of my cousins with real low IQ and one of them can’t get past the 1st zone in DS 1 and they can’t beat the games with no cheats. I see the connection.
