As I said back in April 2021, Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection PC appears to be a barebones port and nothing more. The game does not support mouse & keyboard, requires a gamepad, does not offer unlocked framerates, and won’t have many graphics settings. And, from the looks of it, the in-game settings do not even have a resolution option.
According to its official Steam page, the only way via which you can change resolutions is by using Steam commands. Not only that, but the game does not support 1440p. Again, and according to the devs, Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection PC only supports 720p, 1080p and 4K.
To configure the resolution, open the game’s Properties from your Steam Library. Then, you can enter “720p”, “1080p”, or “4k” in the text field of “LAUNCH OPTIONS”.
Again, it’s inexcusable for a PC game to lack even basic PC features. I mean, what’s the point of playing the game on PC and not using an emulator? Hell, with an emulator you can even use a wider range of resolutions.
This is another disappointing port from KOEI Tecmo. Then again, there must be a crowd that hugely supports KOEI’s ports, otherwise, the company wouldn’t be offering such lackluster ports.

Koei Tecmo is the only publisher I know whose PC ports somehow get progressively worse, even when you’re sure there’s no way further down.

Nonsense, plenty of late 10 year old ports selling millions of copies. If they can’t even put a little effort, they can’t complain of bad sales.
The point is that you need a beast of a PC to emulate these games, while the PC port should run on a toaster. I’ll always take native PC versions of games over emulators if possible.
Hopefully the modding community works on this game to bring it as close as possible to the NGB and NG2 versions

Pirates are part of the problem too – because if so many people are downloading and seeding the game, they show that lots of people see value in the game and want to still play the game as is, but the only difference is those folks are cheapskates with no money.

well if everyone had the same reasoning as you, the developer would just say “see it is a waste to release on PC since nobody buys, everyone just pirates on PC so let’s just focus on consoles where we actually make sales”

In any case if a third party mod makes this game playable and fix those issues, then it is the third party modder that deserves the money.
The question should not be who deserves the money – it should be that if the game is supposedly so bad or broken, then you should not even be pirating the game in the first place. Low sales but high pirate downloads does not send the right message.

They only removed the boob jiggle controller option where you make them jiggle by pressing a controller button but afaik they still jiggle if the characters move by itself and in battles.

Lower PC requirements on a PC version vs emulating it. Even if non Sigma variants can be played still only via emulating the X360 games on Xenia (I’m not sure if they are compatible yet)
