NINJA GAIDEN: Master Collection will bring the three NINJA GAIDEN Sigma games to the PC. However, it appears that this collection will be a barebones port and nothing more.
According to producer Fumihiko Yasuda, this collection will not support keyboard and mouse, and will require a gamepad. This is definitely something that will disappoint a number of PC gamers.
Not only that, but the game will not feature an extensive amount of graphics settings. The game will support 4K and 60fps, but don’t expect unlocked framerates.
Furthermore, the first NINJA GAIDEN Sigma game is based on the PS Vita version. According to the developers, the data for Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 is too fragmented and can’t be salvaged. As such, Team Ninja has decided to port/remaster the PS Vita versions.
In short, don’t expect much from this upcoming collection. So, if you thought that the PC port of Nioh 2 was average, you should brace yourselves for what NINJA GAIDEN: Master Collection will really be.

It’s the usual lazy tecmo port. Honestly you might as well be playing the games off a emulator and running it at your res you play at since it’s not like they are doing anything fancy in terms of well anything for it on PC.
sigma 2 emulated is still broken. unplayable on a few parts. not even that far into the game. on top of major slow motion lag.

I played Gears 2 on Xenia (on win 10), Gears 3 have less glitches but a lot of stuttering over some shaders and sheit. And PCSX2 is way better, considering it’s not a beta and requires less hardware power.

Sigma and Sigma 2 are based on the PS3 versions, not PS Vita.
I wonder if it would be too much trouble to bring back features cut from the Xbox version like red blood, even if you base the game on the PS3 version.
Ya, I’ll likely just pick up an Xbox Series X once it’s cheap and play NGB and NG2 from used disc copies. I’ve wanted PC ports of these games for a while, but between Sigma 2 and its censorship I’m not supporting this.
This game would play great with free camera control and mouse support, but that’s too much for KT coders apparently.
A) The camera in NG1, 2 and 3, regardless of version, is notoriously bad. It’s one of the most mentioned downsides of the franchise, and that’s with it having been carefully designed not to break the game, like a free camera would. KT isn’t going to completely reprogram the camera for a 16 year old game just so you can use mouse. You’re dumb.
B) Even if that impossibility were possible, yea – you’ll play “great” for 4 seconds on keyboard until basic enemies in the first level stomp you because you’re using incompetent controls. Sure.

Blame controllers for that, they suck at camera angles, always will. One of the main reasons 3d early games have bad camera is because they rely on primitive controllers made for 2d games. Even with free camera controls, controllers are still inferior to a mouse.

I have yet to see a game with free camera controls being worse on a kb+m setup, even with fixed camera angles (made due to controller limitations since they suck at camera, duh) it would be doable. In theory, the game would be easier to play with the tweaks i suggested.

Japs are not big on releasing (and keeping) source code and such, and speaking of which, it’s been awhile since i heard news about some dev releasing the source code of any game.

Just a reminder that this is a port of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2, the PS3 ports, which are worse than the Xbox originals as they change enemy placement, make the game easier and in the case of Sigma 2 downright remove the gore and the breast physics.
This collection is a garbage fire already if you’re on console, the PC port should scare you.

Not really, there is a lot of exageration when it comes to Sigma versions, they are fine. The PC port could be the definitive version but since they suck at porting it will just be mediocre.
And it’s the worse game of the bunch by far considering it was made to pander to non fans who liked God of War and Call of Duty.

If it is an additional method, good, but if you require to buy another device, then it’s bad.
Difference, of course, being that no FPS in the past 21 years has been designed to play only with mouse and keyboard. There are no PC exclusive FPSes anymore except for a few niche games that wouldn’t survive on console anyway like Verdun or Beyond the Wire or Hell Let Loose, etc.

EDIT: Apparently they haven’t removed breast jiggle physics from the game but instead removed a feature you could make the breast of the girls jiggle manually outside battle. Pretty useless feature if you ask me but yeah this port will still be garbage.

Another reason what makes Sigma inferior to the Xbox version is that there is no New Game Plus mode WTF??? There was a New Game Plus mode in the Xbox version so why remove it? That means you have to collect all the Golden Scarabs in one playthrough, I remember finding all of them after multiple playthroughs without the internet but of course I forgot where they are now so now it’s impossible to collect them all in just one playthrough.
Don’t buy this Trash. don’t support this unless they make a proper PC port.

There are a dozen reasons not to buy this trash – whether it’s the lie about having lost the original NG/NG2 source code, the fact that they used Sigma 1 and 2 (which are terrible garbage), the fact that Sigma 2 has no blood and gore, or the removed pointless sixaxis features, etc.

A standard mouse have 3 buttoms at minimum which can be used for attack controls, even if the devs can’t be bothered to revamp the camera for a mouse it would still be optimal, the other movements can easily be done with the other hand with WASD/Shift/ctrl/space.
People that say these games would be impossible to play with a kb+mouse are delusional, i dare say that the difficulty is even more propped up thanks to the stupid controller.
