Not a fan honestly (vampires and werewolves in a RE…they lost me), and they keep trying to push a multiplayer mode…why? just make a mercenaries mode and call it a day.
Guarding! I couldn’t stop laughing at that. What the hell are this lot on. The series is garbage without Shinji Mikami.
That was in 7, and yeah…was kinda dumb…but that whole game was kinda dumb (with limbs that you can reattach and stupid things like that)…it was enough of a deviation to me that i didnt like it (and on paper a FPS survival horror sounds great to me)
psst how did evil within turn out?
Really good thanks loved the sequel also.
The sequel specially is quite good, underrated for sure.
The first one tries too much to be RE4, with so-so stealth and not the charm (from characters to story, the sequel fixes that).
Evil Within 2 was sublime, the music in particular masterfully complemented the atmosphere
Now that you mention it, i kinda miss playing that game.
so you prefer more zombies?
I prefer the series to stick to what is known for. It was always about zombies/infected by some bulls*it virus + some weird mutation throw in for variety and novelty sake.
Adding this sounds like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel of the “classic Hollywood monsters era”. Im just asking for some consistency…crazy i know, coming from a Resident Evil, i just dont like the RE meets Bloodborne angle.
“I prefer the series to stick to what is know for. ”
which is? Action? because this is what the series was known for before 7.
Also there was a virus in 7.
“. Im just asking for some consistency…crazy i know, coming from a Resident Evil,”
insane even, there was never any consistency in this series.
No? survival horror? at least the first 3…kinda 4. Onwards was a third person action shooter..but there was consistency till 6 with characters, story and enemies/mechanics.
I know 7 and this one wants to do their own thing, i just dont like it (yeah, 7 had a “virus”, and i liked the approach of a ghetto zombie type made by a redneck…but thas was too much of a deviation still).
isnt 7 more survival horror than any re game since 2? Since 3 is an action game.
Define survival horror then…because 7 is just another action FPS with a more clever map design than your modern shooter…still a shooter. And 8 is looking like is double down on the action department. 3 was still a survival horror game at the core on my book, but of course you could see it going more into the action side, but it fit the narrative of that game.
lol 7 is not an action game, ammo is scarce, you move very slow, it feels like tank controls, yes its not tank controls but its not a fps, your character responses are really slow after firing the shotgun you are stuck in the ground, stuck still until the weapon pumping animation is finished, it feels clunky, 7 is not an action game. 4,5 and 6 were action games.
Yeah, the game tries to mimick the movement of the classic games, yet…founding ammo is not an issue (specially since you can craft it like in…say 3), and in every game you can drown in ammo if you know what are you doing, so resources are not a problem. Yet i still consider the first 3 (4 to an extent survival games) unlike 7. Cause 7 is just a shooter with Dark Souls shorcuts map design, and there’s no penalty for just killing every single enemy…since like i said, ammo is not a problem.
crafting uses resources that can be used to craft other stuff like health if i remember correctly, some of the tougher enemies take a lot of hits and you can miss easily, there is also better ammo, heck it even lets you do knife runs like the original games. Levels are nonlinear with a mansion and different room, if you search the environment you find extra stuff.
Ammo was a problem for me but yeah there is no room to maneuver and dodge enemies you have to kill them but i wouldnt call it an action game, you spent alot of time hiding with no weapons an that basement area was a nightmare, if it was an action game like the previous games i wouldnt have any problems.
We clearly experience a different game, that’s fine.
If you are talking about the hiding sections with Mia (that was her name right?)…yeah…well, those sections are just a clever way to preview the new areas while playing hide and seek in heavily scripted moments…
I think the slow movement was a deliberate choice made to enhance the survival horror element of the game and facilitate its VR integration
mercenaries can’t be done, the shooting part is too garbage (except for re2 remake).
But the footage showed was third person like in the Remakes, is probably outsourced too…a deathmatch mode…of all things, what were they thinking?
The shooting itself in REmakes are fine, like that you have to wait for getting “critical shots”, kinda imitating the positioning in the classics.
Shame the enemies are such bulletspoonges…making ammo more valuable in a “bullsh*t” and artificial way.
I don’t know, they were probably thinking about the same thing they did when they made operation racoon city and umbrella corps.
You can stumble with the same stone once, twice is dumb, a third time is just masochism.
oh I forgot about the last one they made.
Exactly, people forgot about REmake 3 all aroud.
no I’m talking about the team based shooter one.
That came as an addon for REmake 3, yeah.
fcking resistence.
More modern Capcom garbage to cater to the millennials. This is not RE
at all. 7 was bad enough and this is just more of the same.
You slap 1st person on anything and most gamers eat it up like fly on a very seductive piece of manure. RE7 wasn’t an RE game and RE8 sure as hell ain’t an RE game either.
I honestly cannot believe just how bad that gameplay was.
RE7 was amazing so I’m hyped for this.
Yet to finish all the DLCs, Hard Mode or Ethan Must Die modes.
I miss when RE was about zombies, bio-organic weapons and not parasites, gothic macabre and vampires…
“miss”? They just released a game last year or so with the same things you crave.
Just because you a slap a name on something, and give it the proper window dressing, doesn’t mean it automatically lives up to it.
“Resident Evil”, died long ago.
This is like the previous game, same style same demo, even the textures are blurry and the lighting around objects is a bit off.
Same awful aiming system, i kept missing in the previous game, aiming at close range with a zoom in mode while enemies move their heads left and right , it was really annoying, in the dlc with the ironsights i had no such problem. Dude is like “we made it fps again in order to be immersive” well how about you use ironsights as well then? Also that stupid blocking mechanic.Morons.
The interior design is kinda nice looks like the castle in re4 which was the best looking part of the game.
Big giant goth pale vampire mommy milkers. Just imagine the 3d pron they can make wit the snu snu giant.
MP TRASH….roll my ass….PREORDER NOW… roll my eyes again, NOPE NOT AFTER CYBERMESS 2077. More mp stuff, my eyes are rolling again, pre order exclusives, different versions…my eyes have turned into crash bandicoot from all the rolling.
Anyway should be fun but i dont see it being much better than 7, they just made the environments better and thats about it.
“we added crafting” didnt the last game have that you western producer clown?
Show us how this new game is better, show us semi linear open world, puzzles, better combat, how nonlinear the castle is, i dont see anything noteworthy from this demo, doesnt even look like a next gen game, textures too blurry.
Gameplay was underwhelming and nothing about it looks next gen. Disappointing.
I thought the same about RE7 and was pleasantly surprised. I think I’ll reserve my judgement until the game releases so that I can see for myself

this looks better
Stop playing games and just watch slice of game concepts since you are so clueless.
Man, I’d love to see a modern take on Resident Evil Outbreak instead of this braindead Multiplayer game.
I don’t understand why do they film themselves playing like a complete idiots. The gunplay is so cringe, the way he moves the mouse, how and where he aims, it is excruciating to watch…
“.. free MP Mode for Resident Evil Village”
Free trash mode to suck money out of morons, is more like it.
Just because you a slap a name on something, and give it the proper window dressing, doesn’t mean it automatically lives up to it.
“Resident Evil”, died long ago.
I don’t see the issue. We had similar settings in the past. Mansions are nothing new. Villages are nothing new. The only difference is the snow.
live stream overall was poor but re villiage is looking really goood.
free MP mode […] This mode will be available for free to all purchasers
So, it’s not actually free.
