Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered has been exclusive for more than a year on the Epic Games Store. As we already informed you last week, the game was free on the Epic Games Store. For Steam users the game will become available for purchase this November.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is an action-adventure title by developer, Terminal Reality. The game is based on the Ghostbusters franchise, and it was initially released back in 2009. The remastered version has been developed by Saber Interactive, and published by Mad Dog Games.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is being considered as the third movie of the series. The development took place at a time where Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis were trying to write a script for the third movie.
The developers incorporated elements from the Ghostbusters 3’s script into the game. And that’s why Aykroyd considers the game of being “essentially the third movie”.
You can get the game from Steam on November 17th.
Chris was born in the early 80’s along with the very birth of home gaming. After spending many maaany drachmas on arcades, his father decided to buy him a PC instead of going bankrupt. He lived through the advancing and development of the gaming industry, having played TONS of games on all platforms. He is always honest and will never hesitate to give his true opinion on a game no matter what. Loves stealth games and dislikes microtsansactions, DLC and pre-ordering…who doesn’t after all?!

Timmy Tencent already paid them and the game was cracked in October 2019 so these ghosts were busted long ago.
I love how Epic offer some of their exclusives for free just before their Steam release so they can disturb the sales, and some people still see them as the good guys of the story
Indeed. EGS has done that numerous times. Not only is it done to spite and damage Steam but it also harms the games’ developer by how it denies them revenue from Steam as a consequence. Not that I have an ounce of sympathy for those developers because they willingly signed up to EGS with all that it entails.
Absolutely, these devs deserve that for thinking that Epic is their savior but starts treating them like sh*t at the seconde they’re no longer exclusive
“they willingly signed up to EGS with all that it entails.”
Saved the important part of your post, all that morality junk over who is being mean to who is just useless distraction.
And the devs don’t get any payment for that “free” on Epic?
Yes the Publishers get paid for every copy given away for free on EGS. That’s why you hear about Epic using Fortnite profits for the giveaways on EGS.
What Devo Stripes is talking about is trying to harm Steam’s ability to sell copies once it hits Steam to hurt Steam financially which is what Sweeney has been trying to do ever since he opened EGS and also to build his own Store.
The naive people thought that Sweeney was doing all of this to help other Publishers/Developers (like Sweeney claimed he was doing) but he’s doing everything to help himself and pursue his grudge against Steam.
“he’s doing everything to help himself and pursue his grudge against Steam.”
Best of luck to him, because in a battle between online stores costumers are the one getting advantages.
Actually hit the wrong reply, that reply was meant for Bub who don’t seem to realize that the dev’s get paid even when its given away for free. No clue on the rate their paid on the free vs steam (after the store cut).
Surely not as profitable as if those potential sales were actual sales on a way more popular store…
Lmao you think Epic is scr#wing the developers who agreed with them to do an exclusivity deal? Why should i care about any of this stuff again?
Lmao you think Epic is screwing the developers who agreed with them to do an exclusivity deal? Why should i care about any of this stuff again?
F*ck it, ill pirate it
Don’t waste your money. The remaster is a scam, almost unchanged from the OG PC version. This is to sucker console customers.
Like the original PC port, none of the “remastered” versions have co-op MP for campaign. I suspect that they just took the original PC version and just ported it to current gen platforms.
There’s articles suggesting that the co-op MP for the “remaster” will be patched in later, but it’s been months since release and there’s been no news.

If my suspicions are correct, no wonder they took the 1 year exclusivity Epic Game Store bribe. It’s hard to pull the wool over the eye of a lot of PC gamers. This would probably be sitting as a Mixed average for user reviews right now on Steam.
The improvements seem to be entirely framerate and resolution on consoles (and removal of co-op MP) and zilch on PC.
