Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will support DX12, official PC requirements revealed

Ubisoft has just revealed the official PC system requirements for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. According to the specs, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be the first AC game that will support DirectX 12. As such, we hope that the game will perform better than all the previous Assassin’s Creed games.

Additionally, the PC version will feature a built-in benchmark tool, as well as in-depth customization options. Naturally, PC gamers can expect support for ultra-wide monitors, as well as uncapped framerates.

For gaming at 1080p/30fps with the High preset, Ubisoft suggests using an AMD Ryzen 5 1500 or Intel  i7-4790 with 8GB of RAM and an AMD RX 570 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. For gaming at 1080p/60fps with the High preset, PC gamers will need an AMD Vega 64 or GeForce GTX 1080. For gaming at 1440p/60fps with the Very High preset, PC gamers will need an AMD RX 5700XT or GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases on November 10th. Contrary to Watch Dogs: Legion, this new AC game will not be using any real-time Ray Tracing effects.

  1. The game looks so jank to me. Just feels so bad when you look at it. The animations for combat are so long and you get locked into them from the looks of it too (I could be wrong). I suspect this one will be pretty bad. Also coming out a week before Cyberpunk and just a little over a week after Watch Dogs 3.

I hope they crash and burn both of these games.

    1. I don’t doubt your right but all the layers of drm they dumped on top of it has never helped either. This is especially true if you buy it anywhere but from them on the pos uplay, which is also stuffed full of ads these days and is pathetic AF!

Even though I have no problem running anything really tbh It never fails that their games always make my cpu run the hottest. I can only imagine what kind of bullshit they use to justify the decisions they make, AC Odyssey has a vulkan port exclusive to stadia that surely would benefit us, but do we get it?

That entire company needs a fresh start for a multitude of reasons but these past 3 Witcher wannabes are nowhere near as good as Unity, Black Flag, Rogue, or AC2 FFS.

      1. Did you notice the amount of sales they are having? They pretty much have all their major games from the past couple of years on permanent sale. And now it’s a sale on steam too. It has been like that for a while now.

I have a suspicion Ubisoft might not be doing too hot atm.

  2. Why do you think AC: Valhalla does not have any RTX and Watch Dogs: Legion does? Is it because of the modern day setting vs the historical one? The setting of AC: Valhalla would not offer many reflective surfaces?

    1. A: Legion is an NVIDIA game
B: AC is an AMD game

plus AC will get a free NEXT GEN update so perhaps it will get amd RT

      1. The RT update will also run on Nvidia hardware. The question remains is whether or not it will use Nvidia’s RT cores.

That’s the issue when your competitor dominates the gaming landscapes (all consoles barring the Switch run on AMD).

  3. Always great to see more DX12 games. DX11 is old and should be left to indies.
Better CPU threading, async compute, better shader code etc..

It’s the right API for modern PC GPUs.

  4. Specs are on par with anything from Unity to Odyssey, except now hopefully better CPU usage due to DX12.

    I’m fine with them.

  5. SSD will be common requirement for all next gen games…i hope its getting more and more cheaper….

  6. There’s a newer deep-dive video. Check it out @ 4K.
Its still ass-creed but just honestly some improvements have been done.

  7. So is RT coming in a later patch?
Or is anvilNext not getting RT support any time soon?
Only Disruptor will come bundled with RT.

  8. Let’s hope they implement an API toggle and give us Vulkan too. That implementation in Ghost Recon Brokenpoint fixed its terrible FPS and stutterfest.

      1. there’s a fascinating explanation behind this, you see when Ubisoft started the development of AC Unity, it was right around the corner when PS4,XB1 was in the making (baking the chips), folks at Ubisoft assumed & overshot their hardware budget, let’s say ubisoft thought PS4&XB1 would come out with even more horsepower, with not so beefy yet capable CPU & GPU, what really happened was the opposite, they got a CPU which was just barely faster than the already existing PS3&360 CPU! well…the rest is history, I guess you know how the game launch went & how it performed on PS4/XB1.

        1. Whilst what you say is true i’d say it has more to do with the fact that the Unity team put a lot of love and care into making that game. You only have to look at the fantastic game world, animations, interiors, crypts Paris storys’ etc. to see that. Their studio certainly had talent back then.

Whereas, nowadays they couldn’t care less and it’s all about the money, huge game worlds and pandering to the current social nonsense. I played through the game a few months after launch on PC and encountered very few issues the consoles where never powerfull enough for that game.

      1. Yes the left one is better, white man with threads where common among the Vikings may be if they gods will it they may fix the wamen on the right.

    1. That really is quite shocking in all seriousness.

Unity was and still is my favourite AC game in 4k on PC it is still stunning.

  9. I don’t have high hopes for this game. But I got a key for half price few months ago. Will be a good time kill till Cyberpunk comes out

  10. Interesting, AC games specially this new ones, have always hammered the CPU, will see how it goes, but still no buy, cuz lgbtq agenda in a viking Norse mythology is simply absurd.

    1. every assassin creed game since unity looks appalling. the major stand out to me is the animation. they have been copying and pasting the same animation for each game ever since. the PC looks like he got sh*t stuck up his a*s every time he’s running. smh

  11. 4K60 on 2080? Lmao.
You can get 1440p60 maybe on a 2080 on Unity to Odyssey.

If they push visual fidelity higher vs Odyssey, I’m actually surprised a 2080 can still do 1440p60.

    1. Not sure what you are on about I played through Origins and Odyssey at 4k 60hz with Volumetric shadows turned down and everything else on max with an RTX 2080.
