Private Division and V1 Interactive have announced that they will be shutting down the multiplayer mode of Disintegration. Disintegration is a first-person sci-fi shooter that came out on June 16th. However, it appears that the game flopped, something that forced V1 Interactive to shut down its MP mode.
In July 2020, Private Division and V1 Interactive tried to bring some life to the game’s MP modes by allowing PC gamers to play it for free for a weekend. Apparently, though, that F2P period did not pay off.
V1 Interactive will remove the multiplayer modes from the game in phases over the coming months. Starting today, the team will remove the in-game store. Then, on November 17, the team will remove all of the multiplayer modes.
Do note that the single-player campaign will remain fully playable moving forward.
As V1 Interactive stated:
“While our player base showed interest in the single player campaign, the game unfortunately struggled to build a significant audience necessary for a compelling multiplayer experience. After weighing options, we have collectively made the decision to sunset the multiplayer support.”

And this is why I do not invest in multiplayer have. I can’t believe such a game that is multilayer centric is pulling a Arkham Origins. I’ve always said it, only a fool invest in an online game. Because once they pull the servers, their goes your investments. What a shame for those poor idiots that invested their money this game…
“What a shame for those poor idiots that invested their money this game…”
The only real shame, is that the rest of us are stuck going along for the ride with this GaaS because of these morons.
I have zero pity for anyone who buys in to this crap. None.
Truth & Well Said. And going along for the ride we have been doing for sure. I even list the will to game like I use to. After your done dealing with whether it not it has DRM, Does it have Denuvo?, Is it coming to GoG?, What type of social issues are they are pushing?, ETC… After all that, one tends to just lose the will to game anymore. SMH, I couldn’t tell the last time I finish a game.
and that’s not just servers, if people stop playing trendy games, you’ve wasted your money like a dumb baboon. i will never ever pay for a multiplayer game.
Yes indeed because its all about what’s trendy. A new game is about to be released all you hear people talking on the old game is, “are you excited for this new game and will i see you over there”. Speaking of baboons, there is a new game out that’s an epic exclusive called, ROGUE COMPANY. Apparently this game, Rogue Company, is gonna be F2P on release but for early adopters a.k.a Beta-Bucks, you pay for the game in order to test. What kinda $hit is that homie?
I just googled that game, god, what an awful piece of shet.
Haha I knew you’d be disgusted as hell by it, wish I eat in the room to see your face homie. Haha, man you’re the best.
well, might as well milk the EGS / Fortnite kids
“GaaS” keeps sounding so good with these stories. I love it when companies are able to tell me when I’m done with a game I paid for.
Truly, the golden era of gaming, is yet to come.
I don’t pay internet to be offended, delete this!
Haha, you’re Wild’n
“I love it when companies are able to tell me when I’m done with a game I paid for.” PRICELESS COMMENT! wish I could time capsule this right here. Hard Truth ?
but you said below you did not buy the game and that you have “zero pity for anyone who buys in to this crap”…
still not sure who the target audience was. I like “sci-fi FPS” but that’s not what this game was.
That’s what happens when you make a multiplayer game with a crappy single-player shoehorned just to sell more copies. Well deserved.
Any game that plans to shut multiplayer servers should be obligated to update the game with the option to use your own. such bs
“While our player base showed interest in the single player campaign”
when did that happen?
always?
i mean no one played it
On this “game”?

In my old experience, games were sold as single player and then multiplayer was a bonus which you created or rented your own servers to play. Mods and plugins were allowed so the game would live on as long as people were interested. I still have a home-box HLDM (Sevs Mod) server running and people still do play from time to time. (There are some popular servers that still run that game believe it or not)
This trend of selling a game then pulling the rug out from people is sad.
I never am interrested in Multiplayer games especially dont like MP shooters.. nah.. i love a good slow game with a good story telling and adventure. Count me out when the industry is announcing a new AAA multiplayer shooter.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…
I mean, damn, that’s sad.
Haha, I laughed so hard on this. You are Fuq’d up man. Not a single Fuq was given by you. Damn homie.
Good, now i will get a copy
Another MP game flopped – another reason to cheer.
mech games dont sell, they never did
