The full-length trailer for Far Cry 6 has been leaked online

Yesterday, we shared the first details for the next part in the Far Cry series, Far Cry 6. And, from the looks of it, its official full-length reveal trailer has been also leaked online prior to the Ubisoft Forward 2020 event.

Do note that this is a CG and not a gameplay trailer. Thus, we don’t know whether the French company aims to reveal any gameplay footage during Ubisoft Forward 2020.

Far Cry 6 will take place in tropical island called Yara. Players will assume the role of Dani Rojas; a local Yaran who will become a guerrilla fighter in order to liberate the nation.

Far Cry 6 promises to have the largest Far Cry playground to date. According to the listing, the game will have jungles, beaches and the capital city of Yara.

Lastly, the game will release on both current-gen and next-gen platforms in February 2021.

Enjoy!

  1. I think I should like the game because there is a famous actor in a CG trailer, because what else would one want from a game?

    1. Indeed. When Cyberpunk 2077 got Keanu Reeves my first thought was how the focus shifted from the gameplay to the story and what our star wants. And true enough Keanu asked for his role to be considerably expanded.

I’m playing a game, not watching a movie and getting a movie star who’s not exactly good at swapping genres and is basically one-note just takes me out of the game and ruins the immersion.

      1. This is one of many concerns I have abut this game. I think it is going to be full of celebrity cameos that will have little to no purpose except to attract celebrity worshipers and will ultimately just be a distraction.

  2. If it’s another base liberating and tower climbing simulator, then I’ll wait for price drop.

  3. I mean, you gotta give to ubisoft, they announce games a year or so away from release, i think of cyberpunk 2077 or star citizen, how long has it been, 7 years? 8?

    1. wallrunning
      sky setting
      asia setting
      grappling hook
      serious sam 2 style enemies
      weird weapons
      glory kills

As long as its not a looter shooter with bullet spongy enemies i am sold.

          1. It doesn’t suit my gameplay style. I’m not accustomed to parkour mechanics, like wall running, jumping etc. That’s why I mostly play old school, or pure first person shooters of the good old days, with the exception of some new titles.

Even RPGs and other gaming genres are not my cup of tea, though, if it’s a 3’rd person shooter, then it’s OK. Else, I cannot play games that solely rely on Melee combat, parrying, close combat, and other stuff like that.

          2. i like the speed of old fps and how nonlinear they are, wallrunning is part of the speed thing.

i just dont like medieval rpgs, they are boring to me.

          3. So that makes it bad because you’re bad at and have no taste in games. Good thing you write for a gaming site.

    2. Because having parkour system is fun if it done properly. It break away from the generic FPS formula

      1. Actually, that’s my point. I don’t want first person shooters to have any parkour mechanics, wall running, or even RPG elements for that matter.

I want them to be like real old-school FPS titles.

        1. Literally all of the best first person shooters have had platforming, if only a little bit. Even Doom had platforming in the form of having to run fast enough to get on top of literal platforms in order to get keys, items or hit switches. Half-Life 1 and 2 were entirely based around platforming – just not waltrunning.

Titanfall 2’s campaign literally could not be beaten without wallrunning unless you found a noclip cheat.

          Duke Nukem 3D had platforming.

Quake 3 was based entirely on hopping around the map, using teleporters, and jumping. So was Unreal Tournament, and Starsiege Tribes.

Your opinion is stupid and incorrect.

    3. The same reaosn why they have injecting RPG elements into shooters for the last decade. But for the first time i find it most appropriate in shadow warrior than any other game. The problem with this mechanic is most often the game isn’t well developed around the mechanic so you rarely get to use it or have the need to.

    4. ……no.

Been playing Doom since Doom 1 came out and I’m not a fan of Doom 2016 but Doom Eternal was extremely good.

    1. could be interesting if this time if you’re the “villain” trying to unite his country, instead of leading the rebels against the government. All most like FC4 if you waited for
Pagan Min and went with him to “finally shoot some godd@mn guns”

  4. Not trying to be facetious here, but for all the issues the Far Cry games have, and all the b*ching about them on social media, can any of you recommend open-world single player shooters that have better gunplay, tactical options and just flatout fun chaotic firefights than FC 3, 4 or 5 ?

I’m talking the open-world part, bypassing the missions, using mods and cheats to open the games up.

    What’s more fun ?

Can you give me a list of better experiences in PC single-player open-world shooters ?

Because I play these 3 games in that mode MANY hours a week and have a blast doing so.

Never have to waste my time with Vass or the Seed family or SJW crap, just gunplay…

I mean it, tell me about these games and I’ll check ’em out.

    1. Ghost Recon Wildlands (not Breakpoint). It’s world, progression, and mission structure is even less linear than Far Cry, and the AI squadmates are decently reliable. The DLCs are mostly garbage and can be safely ignored.

    2. Tbf ubisoft is a few consistent developer that bring us games every year even its repetitive and its almost simiilar gameplay with different story, but i still enjoy their games not like Cod or battlefield crap…

    3. I’m not sure about the “better gunplay”, but how about the STALKER games? (with mods)

  5. Lastly, the game will release on both current-gen and next-gen platforms in February 2020. ………
    you mean 2021 ?

  6. The CG tech looks great, can’t wait to see the actual graphics. Ubisoft has a pretty consistent in graphic quality since the Watch Dogs downgrade so I’m sure FC6 will look great.
