This Star Wars Mod brings 20 weapons, 40 enemies & 7 Force power abilities to classic Doom

Ximmerman has released a new version of the Star Wars Mod for the classic Doom games, Xim’s Star Wars Doom. Xim’s Star Wars Doom replaces Doom’s weapons, enemies and (almost all) decoration objects with those from Star Wars.

Going into more details, Xim’s Star Wars Doom brings 20+ weapons, 40+ enemies and 7 force power abilities to Doom. Most projectiles are 3D models of Star Wars blaster effects. The Icon of Sin is also replaced with a more traditional boss enemy, Emperor Palpatine.

Furthermore, gameplay is changed quite a lot. For instance, hitscan attacks are rare and most projectiles typically move much faster than those in Doom. Infighting is also rare and only happens between imperials, aliens and bounty hunters (they won’t attack their own team).

You can also unlock force powers by finding lightsabers. You can get up to seven powers, including being able to throw your lightsaber. Force powers use force energy which slowly regenerate or can be charged up faster at the cost of movement speed.

The latest version of Xim’s Star Wars Doom adds a new player class. This new class is Mara Jade who is another popular hero from Star Wars Legends functions just like Kyle Katarn. It also adds a new ally, new enemies, new boss-tier enemy, and new sprites for various weapons and objects.

You can download Xim’s Star Wars Doom v2.8.5 from here. Do note that you’ll need GZDoom in order to play it.

Have fun!
