YouTube’s ‘TripleADigest’ has shared a graphics video comparison between the original and the upcoming remake of Mafia. This video highlights most of the graphical improvements that Hangar 13 has made in order to re-introduce players to this classic title.
Mafia Definitive Edition has been built from the ground up, using the Mafia 3 Engine. The game features new high resolution textures, new high quality 3D models, a better lighting system, numerous modern-day graphics effects, and more.
Among these visual improvements, the game will expand its story to give insights into characters we only got to glimpse in the original game. Furthermore, the game will feature a larger Lost Heaven to explore, motorcycles as a new vehicle type, collectibles to seek out and more.
Mafia Definitive Edition is currently scheduled for an August 28th release.
Enjoy!

The last thing I want is Hangar13 rewriting Mafia 1.
Well they have a story to go on, and from what I’ve seen I’m sold. Just hope they don’t release this with DX11 support.
They made Mafia 3, just for that they should stay away from the Mafia franchise.
Despite all of the negativity about Liberal Political Correctness
being injected into games the trend keeps growing. I don’t like it but
it seems to be the wave for future gaming.
There’s always older games to play. I have a list of about 150 older games that I want to play someday and then some of them I replay every 3 years.
Prague and Brno are in Czech Republic, not in Poland…
You have seen literally nothing aside from a few screenshots and some cutscenes.
Vulkan preferably.
Mainstream is defo in ruins, but that applies to a mainstream culture as whole. Still plenty of stuff to go through.
I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention….but everything is woke these days…simply telling the truth and stating facts is enough to get you fired. having an opinion on a topic that the woke crowd doesn’t like is enough for you to be deemed a lunatic alt right nazi racist bigot baby eater.
I used to be somewhat liberal minded…but now??…apparently I hate everyone that doesn’t look just like me…which is sad cause I thought I only hated commies.
I guess “commies” are the main source of all your troubles then.
indeed…I’ve hated them since 1983….84?….when did red dawn come out?….the good one
Indeed. Here’s hoping that what they’ve described as being “new story elements” won’t be an injection of poisonous SJW filth.
Considering that the original Mafia is an 18 year old game and didn’t really look that bad in it’s day. I consider it a classic must play game. Hope this remake turns out well.
This kid actually wasted his time comparing the original game to a fake in-engine trailer…
Tommy had a somewhat classy voice in the original, here it’s like a goon’s. Not sure I want all these changes.
Could not agree more.
mafia 2 remake edition, the price is not right (overprice)…..
totally worth it.. while, remaster = go to hell..
