Here are twenty minutes of brand new gameplay footage from Diablo 4

YouTube’s ‘GAMEPLAY PS’ has shared a video, showing twenty minutes of brand new gameplay footage from Diablo 4. This new gameplay video showcases the “A Light in the Dark” quest. And, in case you’re wondering, this is the same quest that appeared on GameInformer’s gameplay video back in November 2019.

My guess is that this footage is from a later beta version of Diablo 4. Thus, some die-hard Diablo fans may find some gameplay and visual differences between the November 2019 and this beta build.

As we’ve already reported, Diablo 4 is going for darker and grittier style than Diablo 3. Locations will be toned down, infrequently laid with corpses, wasteland, grey-ish deserts, clut caves surrounded by flesh, rotten crypts, marshes and bogs, as well as plagued cities.

Diablo IV will be an always-online game, and will not offer an offline mode. We also don’t know whether Blizzard will allow modders to enable an unofficial offline mode or not.

Diablo 4 will also have cosmetic micro-transactions. Additionally, Blizzard is looking into enabling cross-play support between all platforms.

Lastly, Diablo 4 will be using a new engine, will allow the camera to zoom out, will have better animations.

There is currently no ETA on when Diablo 4 will come out.

  1. I really really dislike when companies show off their games years before even there is a release date. I know bethesda gets a ton of hate. But i’ll never forget that Fallout 4 announcement at e3 and being mindblown hyped aF then finding out it was coming out in a few months. That is how you should do it!!! My hype for cyberpunk is dead!! still gonna play it. But it’s like… ya… cool.

    1. I think this is much closer to release than we think. Seems far too polished to be years away.

Also Bethesda announnced Starfield last year which looks to be a bit off and also annouinced TES6 which is most likely end of the generation game for PS5 and Sexbox…

      1. in the case of bethesda announcing elder scrolls 6 and starfield. They said upfront they were years away. I think those were more just announced so people would stop bugging them asking when and where all the time.

  2. generic, ugly strong female character with short hair, repetitive, people are excited by this?

  3. Taking a mental note to never use light weapons in a dungeon crawler. I had to skip through it and still felt like it was grating to listen to the constant spam of striking sounds and grunts.

  4. That “GaaS” future. So much to look forward to, when companies will have full control and that ability to tell you, when you’re done with the game you paid for.

    1. And the companies will be doing more s**t like turning servers off “for social justice” and having “white lives don’t matter” loading screens.

  5. i never interested in always-online game no matter how good it looks. i remember how i excited for diablo 3 before they announce it needs online even in single player. diablo series is dead to me.

    1. Amen.
I must have spent upwards of a thousand hours in Diablo 2.
Diablo 3 was one of my most anticipated games before it came out, yet, after I found out about the always-online, I never bought it or even played it; I haven’t bought or played another Blizzard game ever since and I’ve never looked back. Diablo is dead and so is Blizzard.

  6. Great, always online again. That means the console versions will again perform better than the PC version. I’m really looking forward to the stuttering (that still isn’t completely fixed from Diablo 3) that is due to it being always online.

  8. I like it, just want to see it in better quality. Cause the quality of that video is bad… No matter what option you set it to its badly encoded or recorded…

  10. Actually and thankfully, in the Eternal Collection you can choose difficullty from the beginning

  11. In 10 years from now we will all be reading about the future release of Diablo 5 in another few years. That means 13 years from now we might see 5. Not sure why your thinking of 8 lol.

  12. Honestly this looks like a Diablo 3 with a facelift, simplified to cater to the casuals, I don’t believe for a second that it can live up to Diablo 2, let alone surpass it!

    1. Diablo 2 was a casual snooze fest. And Diablo 2 is only good in nostalgia. It’s a mediocre game that didn’t age well.

  13. Really? Still whining like a petulant moron about always online games? I mean, you’re dumb enough to think they’re going to release 4 more diablo games in 10 years so…

  14. It mostly just looks like Diablo III with new colors. Haters gonna hate and buyers gonna buy, but as for me, I think I’ll be hanging up my hat now.
