Chernobylite feature

STALKER-inspired survival game, Chernobylite, now supports DirectX 12 and AMD FidelityFX

The Farm 51 has announced that a new content update is now available for Chernobylite. This content update adds 50% more content to the game. Moreover, it adds support for DirectX 12, as well as for AMD FidelityFX.

As the press release reads, Chernobylite now supports DirectX 12. Players owning compatible graphics cards (and especially AMD) can test it and check its influence on the visual performance of the game.

Furthermore, and thanks to cooperation with AMD, the game also supports FidelityFX. FidelityFX will work on both AMD and NVIDIA hardware.

“Activating CAS should allow gamers to play at a lower resolution, or lower “resolution scale,” while maintaining very high image quality. Players can also improve the quality of the game, with virtually no effect on performance. FidelityFX works on all graphics cards, regardless of manufacturer.”

It’s also worth noting that the final version of Chernobylite will come out in the next months.

Lastly, this latest content update adds Pripyat’s most iconic sites. Players can visit the famous amusement park and its huge Ferris wheel. They can also check out Lenin Square and several nearby buildings. Additionally, players can find a mysterious, scientific military facility.

  1. is this game any good at this point now? I’ve heard mixed things before. But it’s early access so that can definitely change over time

    1. The devs aren’t that great, average at best, so will the final game IMO.
I recommend to everyone wanting a modern STALKER experience to just mod the game instead of playing this, or at least wait for release

        1. Call of Pripyat with Gunslinger Mod + STALKER Two-K for the textures, you get the most modern vanilla-like experience this way, you can also try Shadow of Chernobyl with Starter Pack 2019

          1. i was actually looking for complete overhaul mods that changes every aspect of the CoP game similar to Skyrim/Enderal or Skyrim/Perkus Maximus-Ordinator.

    2. It’s decent, has a bit of an Alan Wake vibe too. You can try the “free” version if you’re not sure, but it’s just 15 euro right now.

    3. I enjoyed it for the ~2hrs I played. Then I stopped as I really want to wait for it to be finished before playing any further.

What I did play was quite atmospheric, best graphics to date of any game, love the quirky eastern block vib and solid mechanics.

I think this will be a solid game but it needs more time. Buy it to support them I did.

  2. The Farm 51..still remember the lame experience with their “photorealistic” shooter game..

  3. DSOG article: “This content update adds 50% more content to the game.”
Video description: “With this Mega Patch, we reached halfway milestone for our Early Access production timeline!”

Not quite the same meaning. With this update, they reach a milestone that marks 50% of total content implemented into the game.

Seeing that you already analyzed the game in the past, will you do it now for the DX12 version?

    1. Are those mutually exclusive though?
If before this “Mega Patch”, the game had only 25% of the total content implemented into the game, then this update would actually add 50% more content to the game, and also reach a milestone that marks 50% of total content implemented into the game.

I don’t know if that is the case, but clearly, both those statements could be equally true, which is a fact you ignore.
