2K Games has revealed some additional details about the upcoming Mafia Remake, Mafia: Definitive Edition. According to the publisher, this Mafia Remake will expand its story to give insights into characters we only got to glimpse in the original game.
Furthermore, Mafia: Definitive Edition will feature a larger Lost Heaven to explore, motorcycles as a new vehicle type, collectibles to seek out and more.
Hangar 13 President and CCO Haden Blackman, said:
“The original Mafia made such a lasting impact on how video games can tell serious stories. And we know how much the series fans still revere it. Nearly 20 years after, we now have an opportunity to introduce this beloved game to a new generation of players. We can also give longtime fans a chance to relive Tommy’s story with a stellar modern presentation and new story elements and gameplay features.”
2K Games has also revealed that Mafia: Definitive Edition will be at the PC Gaming Show. Thus, we can expect some new gameplay footage from it prior to its August release. The PC Gaming Show event will launch on June 6th.

Use the 3D settings from Nvidia’s Control Panel instead of the TAA implementation of the game.
the anti aliasing solution that the game use is the temporal AA TXAA works by blurring the image which is bad and stupid but because it is Nvidia nobody speaks against it
so in you graphic driver the profile for mafia 3 override the anti aliasing option and use multi sample and keep in mind that dx 11 doesn’t support it but it will turn off txaa as there is no option ingame to disable it

Mafia 2 was overrated af. The city was empty, the combat’s terrible, and the story is just one cliche after another.

I like 3, but replaying Mafia 2 has been a nostalgia goggle killer. It’s actually a pretty bad game and on top of it the lighting and washed out colors of the DE make it look worse than the original.

Well… The thing isn’t that their isn’t other types of people in organized crime.. it is just that if it is going to be “Period Correct” then.. Absolutely not.. I mean ignoring the fact that things were like that in the past, isn’t going to magically make them better… Forgetting and ignoring the problems and issues.. has never been a good way to fix sh*t in the past anyways..)
Plus that was the whole thing about Mafia 3, they were finally reaching an era in history where the African American’s could start rising up the ladder and start building their own crime empires..

This will be the antithesis of everything Mafia achieved and stood for. I’m betting they will also ramp the action sequences up by a factor of 100 rather than doling it out in a way that leaves you wanting more.

Mafia 3 was a better game than 2 and having started replaying Mafia 2 with the DE, I’m having trouble even calling it a good game. The story is okay, but the game and the world are crap. At least in Mafia 3 I really felt like I was building a crime empire.

I was referring to the original Mafia game, which was created by a Czech developer. The irony being that an European studio respected the American setting of the game more than US devs will do now.
