Ubisoft has already delayed all of their upcoming games, except Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which is coming this year. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine, Gods & Monsters, Watch Dogs: Legion, Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Skull & Bones do not have an official release date yet.
Ubisoft is planning to release another triple-A title, which is probably Far Cry 6. It can also be something else related to this already exhausted series, like another spin-off.
Of course the same applies to most of the series owned by Ubisoft, and this is probably why the delayed each and every title they have.
Sadly, this means no Splinter Cell or Prince of Persia game any time soon. Let’s hope Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be better than its predecessors, and not another soulless open-world title.

Why all the hate for this series? I enjoyed Far Cry 5. You call this a tired series yet so are many of the other games you so prominently feature.
I came here to disagree but then again the bitter truth is that final sales are always a decent barometer of how fresh or tired a series is. the past two ACs are not my favourite, actually I would go so far as to say they are terrible and there’s barely anything AC left about them but they are a lot of people enjoying the past two titles so who the hell am I to say otherwise? I’ll just have to come to terms with the fact that AC and FC will never be the same and PoP and SC will never see the light of day
Far Cry 5 was fine (but the season pass was a scam), New Dawn too.

I don’t hate buddy, Far Cry 3 is one of my favorite games.
Everyone claims to love 3, seems cool to say that nowadays. Whereas I think 5 is superior to 3 in every possible way. I struggle to understand how anyone can rate that game higher than 5.
I can’t understand how can you rate FC3-5 over FC2.
It currently has nothing to do with the first game which had a fanbase that later moved to Crysis since that was the true sequel to it, then Crytek went full console and destroyed the IP.
It currently has nothing to do with the second game that despite being a horribly boring tech demo with no ties with the first, has it’s masochistic fanbase.
And after FarCry 3 which was pretty good, despite being too scripted in my opinion, it’s been the same f*king game for over 8 years now.
They have released FarCry 3 with a new coat of skin, same engine version, same enemy animations, same gameplay mechanics, same ballistics and for some reason everyone pretends like they’re new games.
Crysis didn’t force you to go back to camp to start a new mission every time
Crysis had more enemy variety and better A.I
Crysis wasn’t an Open World slog
Crysis actually had good gameplay
I’d rather play S.T.A.L.K.E.R any day which is a close experience but with much better everything.

2 was a horrible game.
Obviously.
Because:
A) Ubisoft didn’t even create Far Cry. They contracted Crytek to make the original and then took over development, summarily ruining the series over time by adding more and more stupid, homogeneous mechanics from Assassin’s Creed into it. Far Cry 1 – 3 are the only good entries (including BD) and it’s a stretch to even include 3.
B) Every single game is the same crap and they aren’t good anymore, at all. Far Cry 5 was one of the most vapid, wonky excuses for a game ever. The world was entirely plastic nonsense where you couldnt interact with anything, what little physics did exist was broken, the flying mechanics for planes were terrible, the weapon selection was a joke, but none of that compares to the pure trash that was the narrative structure of the game. You literally got pulled at random into story cutscenes. You could spend 2 minutes parachuting to the ground (I literally did) and then as soon as you land, you randomly get shoved into a cutscene where you’ve been kidnapped and forced to do one of Johns stupid training quests. One time I attacked an outpost, killed everyone, and then I was hopping around on rooftops killing reinforcements – all of which were dead – and then out of nowhere it scooped me into a cutscene mid-shooting.
FC5 is trash.
they should kill the series (less likely..a lot of morons will by this) or…here is a crazy idea put some effort in creating something new with the series not the same old same old all the time…but that’s a looooong shot for UBI.S

I’m fine if Splinter Cell is forever put in the vault, I don’t think Ubisoft has what it takes to make a good Splinter Cell game.

I wouldn’t mind another take on Blood Dragon, it was great as a spinoff, besides, how many Outrun style games that aren’t arcade racing do we have nowadays?

Other ones are just the usual snipe fest or tower climbing simulator.
They need to change things up a bit for another Far Cry game, Getting pretty boring maybe add elements from other games with emphasis on hunting for food or building shelters for survival in a hardcore mode.

Now a days gaming company is all about money because they need to feed 1000 of employees. Taking risk and when the game tanks it results in lay offs. So, most of the company’s play it safe.

I am down for another Far Cry. These games are fun aF and always look fkn amazing
Far Cry 5 was great, much better than 4 or Primal. New Dawn a copy paste job. The only great Far Crys were 1, 3 & 5. 1 didn’t have anything to do with the rest, 3 brought the formula we know and 5 tweaked it and made it better. All of the other entries were bad because of technical issues or overly aggressive AIs that would see you across the map. Far Cry 2 would have enemies respawn every time you left an area and in 4 you’d get spotted halfway across the map and followed or were anyways chased by animals. The problem with the series that I’ve had was you were encouraged to explore because of the beautiful environments but you get punished by just being out, the games would always force an encounter. Far Cry 5 fixed this and is a much better game for it.
After Far Cry 3, it basically the same sh*t. Ubisoft should abandoned this franchise. It borderline boring already
Last game for me was FC4 and it was enough. If you want to play a spawn fest, boring game then go and buy this. I bet FC6 will be the same. Constan enemy spawn every 10m.

More like Far Cry 3 and Primal and less like Far Cry 4 and 5. Less religion bs this time. Far Cry 5 was a fun game to play. The story was plain dumb that had you roll your eyes.
AC Odyssey isn’t a soulless open world game but Valhalla will be.
