Resident Evil 4 Remake is real, dev team larger than Resident Evil 3 Remake, is a couple of years away

A few hours ago, we informed you about a rumour regarding Resident Evil 4 Remake. And apparently, this remake is actually real. Capcom insider, Dusk Golem, has confirmed these rumours, suggesting that Resident Evil 4 Remake is indeed happening.

However, it’s really important to note that Resident Evil 4 Remake will not come out anytime soon. As Dusk Golem claimed, this game is at least a couple of years away, and it won’t be the next RE game. The next RE game will be, obviously, Resident Evil 8.

Furthermore, everything that VGC revealed is actually true. The game has Mikami’s blessing and the development team working on it is M-Two.

It’s also worth noting that the Resident Evil 4 Remake team will be larger than the ones for Resident Evil 2 Remake or Resident Evil 3 Remake.

Lastly, Capcom and M-Two will be listening to fan feedback regarding Resident Evil 3 Remake.

  1. The “remake train” continues to roll on full speed ahead. I haven’t played the original RE4 so I am interested in this game. It’s supposed to be one of the best RE games.

    1. It’s a great game in it’s own right, but go into it expecting an action game. If you want survival horror, this isn’t it.

      1. You. Can. Literally. Play. It. Right. Now.

        1. I have many issues with that version, thats why i never played more than the first 10 m of that game lol. I’m sure it will be perfect if they fully remastered that game however.

      1. I’ve personally never liked the “stand still to shoot” mechanic so I stopped playing after about 30 mins.

I tried this game after playing Dead Space 1 so trying to adjust was awful. I’ll be waiting for the remake mainly for improved gameplay mechanics.

        1. dead space games are absolutely superior to these games and specially re4 and i’m saying that as someone who grew up with resident evil games.

        2. I agree, I just cant get behind these RE remakes. Unfortunately this is their way of doing things. Dying light is/will be more my pace.

    2. 1) It isn’t. It’s one of the worst.
      2) It’s on literally every system that exists. A calculator could run RE4.

  2. Oh joy another remake that isn’t even needed.

The NTSC Game Cube version is still the only one worth playing to this day. Before everyone starts crying about their super modded PC versions go and actually play the GC version before commenting.

      1. I know visually the PC version can be made to look the best. I’m referring to the controls, the GC version controls so well the dead zone is set perfectly and the controls are so smooth and tight. I have played every version released extensively and the GC version is still easily the best.

You won’t really understand until you try it for yourself it really is a massive difference and makes the game far more enjoyable.

    1. Unfortunately the truth solely because EVERY other versionis based on the trash PS2 version.

Trust me, I played the original before you even heard of RE. No one is disagreeing – what you said is fact.

But the controls work perfectly fine on the PC version.

    1. me too, I even bought popcorn. But you know what, the sheeple will love it, as much as they are throwing 60 bucks for RE3 scam, this people times is unbelievable

  3. Lol, the team better be bigger than REmake 3. That game was very lazily put together. Hope they give this one the quality it deserves.

    1. I wouldn’t say lazily. It was solid, what was there.
It was obviously just on a tight budget with a smaller team. It needed more time and resources. Should have been a $40 game though.

  4. frankly, resident evil 4 can wait, as can resident 5 if he plans to do so too! they’re still graphically beautiful, no need for a remake, and besides, they’re not my favorites.

I wish resident evil: Code Veronica, this one needs a remake.

  5. Instead of remaking Code Veronica which actually could use a remake, they go for one with impossibly large shoes to fill. I bet this will not end well.

    1. same, I bet Capcom is gonna pull a FF7 on this one, and it will cut even more content than RE3, I mean, imagine they cut so much from an already short game… how much they would cut from this?

  6. They skipped Veronica because that one complies with the insane army initial demands: main character wamen, main villan, wamen.

But 4 oh boy 4, Straight white male saving little girl in distress, reeeeeeeee reeeeeeeee destroy it. Patriarchy ,why does not she defend herself reeeeeee ree.

Is gonna be utter garbage and i once uppon a time wanted this to be done but after seeing what they’ve been doing with Resident evil 2 and 3 this one is gonna be gutted badly.

  7. the more I hear the more confident I am about the project but still don’t find re4 important to remake since it holds up in a way that 1-3 don’t.

  8. Ya well, Capcom is back in the doghouse, so I really don’t give a s**t. I’m sure every moron out there will buy it and praise it with 10/10 across the internet.

F**k, do I ever hate stupid people, and the bulls**t they cause in this market.

    1. No.

Code Veronica was a real RE game. It had the same gameplay as 1 – 3. It was less action than RE3, even with a dude with dual pistols.

      1. no i mean wasnt the game that started becoming more campy and over the top with action and cutscenes and character focus instead of horror like re4?

  9. “It’s sad to see so many hot takes about this game that are just flat-out wrong statements. Like the people that says Nemesis was dynamic in the original. Nemesis was always scripted.” – From the moron on twitter.

Right, so, since it was scripted in the game from 1999, I guess everyone should just be fine that it’s a scripted, QTE pile of garbage in 2020. Logic.

    1. EXACTLY my thoughts. Like, “hey lets moderninze everything! except the ONLY ONE THING we got right in the las remake (Mr x) and leave it like it was played 20 years ago!” motherf idiotic developers… god that people making decisions on videogames are unbelievable eh

    1. For a fact it doesn’t need a remake.

It is 100% playable today, on every system that’s been released in the past 18 years. The paint may be a little bit old but that is the ONLY problem with the game. You’re not only out of your mind but stupid.

  10. Kashup is an idiot.

No one is saying Nemesis was dynamic in the OG. They’re saying it felt dynamic because he didn’t LITERALLY JETPACK OUT OF NOWHERE AND LAND IN FRONT OF YOU AT RANDOM.

You had options what to do and whether to fight him most of the time. He chased you. He didn’t literally appear and disappear into thin air.
