Fallout 4 new feature

This 4.8GB 4K HD Texture Pack for Fallout 4 overhauls all of the game’s landscapes

Spiffyskytrooper has released a brand new version of the Natural Landscapes mod for Fallout 4. The latest version of this 4K HD Texture Pack is 4.8GB in size, aims to overhaul all of the game’s landscapes, and is available now for download.

According to its description, Natural Landscapes aims to stay true to vanilla, and replace/expand upon textures where there’s room for improvement. With this mod, the textures won’t have exaggerated noise issues. Furthermore, these new textures aim to feel “natural” while also maintaining a high quality appearance.

It’s also worth noting that this project also covers both DLCs. Not only that, but it features some non-landscape textures like trash and debris.

You can download the mod from here. To install it, you’ll have to drag the contents of the mod in to your Fallout 4’s ‘Data’ folder. Then, you can activate it via the mod manager of your choice.

In order to showcase some of these textures, the modder has also shared the following screenshots.

Enjoy!

  1. Sad that this game had so much going for it, except the thing that mattered like a proper story and NPC interactions. And don’t get me started on the legendary enemies and weapons.. GOD I hated that the weapon wasn’t all hand-crafted like in 3 and new vegas. No fun in finding the exact same weapons over and over with slight variations to damage and so on.

      1. It could certainly be better, but I didn’t think it was that bad tbh. Fallout has never been (for me at least) about the graphics.

Agreed. That’s why I think Fallout 2 was the best but I’m in a small minority of gamers on that.

          1. I’ve never gotten around to play the original Fallout games, but it certainly is on my “to do list”.

          2. Fallout 2 is a great game if you do get time to play it. I assure you once you start playing the game you will see what I mean. It’s a bit long though. Maybe 40 to 50 hours.

The game is going on 22 years old so the graphics are dated but if that doesn’t bother you then you will most likely really enjoy the game.

          3. Yeah I think it would be right up my alley. Even if the graphics are dated they still have a lot of charm. I’ve watched some gameplay on YT and it’s really cool to see all the lore from back then that’s carried all the way through to the modern games. And the 0 intelligence interaction is just down right hilarious.

  2. Played this game for over 500 hours to this day i have no idea why people hate it so much. Little repetitive at times but overall this is my first fallout game and i loved the game to death. Hell its the main thing my PC ever played.

    1. You said it yourself, your first Fallout game. That’s the reason. It’s not a bad game but it is a horrible Fallout game

      1. I’ve played all Fallout games and I have 1,300hrs on FO4

It’s heavily modded and a hardcore survival sim at this point, but there’s plenty there to salvage if you spend the time making it better

Though in saying that, without mods I’d probably only have ~50hrs on it

        1. Mods or no mods its trash, its not real fallout games.

To describe all issues it in one sentence, it should of been called: ARK FailOut Evolved, instead Fallout 4.

Just compare the starting quest in FNV and F4, in NV you have 10+ options and ways to finish it, in F4 its linear, zero options.

All F4 quests like that, linear and dumb simplistic fetch or kill quests that have no branching options.
Tthe conversation system is completely castrated, you have 4 identical options in every conversation: Yes, Sarcastic Yes, Humorous Yes and No, But Ill Come Later to Choose YES Option.
The addition of dumb repetitive robo-quests instead of making the game feel bigger made it look worse.

All the settlement part has NO PLACE in fallout game, it killed the feel of the game it turned it from fallout into something else, noobs that never played the game loved it since for them its was another teenage open world game, but its wants a FALLOUT game, people that came to play a FALLOUT, found a dumb, teenage oriented Open World, Light Survival game with Base Building instead.

    2. i also love it, and i love tale of two wastelands, both of these with a proper mod setup is awesome fun

    3. Because its not a REAL, PROPER Fallout, its an Open world game and I bet your a teenager, so you loved it.
