Death Stranding Mads Mikkelsen

Death Stranding will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech

A couple of hours ago, 505 Games revealed that Death Stranding will be coming to the PC on June 2nd. However, it appears that this game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. This was revealed via the game’s official Steam store page.

Death Stranding is the second high profile game that will be using the – most likely – latest version of Denuvo. The other game that will be using it is Resident Evil 3 Remake.

There is also another triple-A game that releases later this month, and that game is no other than Doom Eternal. The good news here is that its Steam store page does not list Denuvo. Thus, Bethesda may not use it in this upcoming shooter. Either way, we’ll be sure to let you know about it the moment we receive our review code.

As 505 Games has already stated, Death Stranding will release simultaneously on both Epic Games Store and Steam. At least that’s good news, right?

Anyway, the PC version will support high frame rates and ultra-wide monitors. Moreover, it will come with a photomode and content from Valve’s iconic franchise, Half-Life.

My guess is that 505 Games will reveal the game’s PC requirements in the next couple of months, so stay tuned for more!

    1. Pirates could care less about Denuvo. It get’s cracked in many cases on release day. It’s become irrelevant to pirates who know anything about the history of Denuvo.

        1. A diminishing challenge for them with each new release because it’s based on the same core technology that they’ve already figured out. Check the history. In the beginning the cracking groups thought Denuvo was the ultimate DRM and they would never figure it out. Now it’s like taking candy from a baby. It gives them something to do for about a day until it’s cracked. Then they are bored again.

    2. Here I thought that only legit buyers cared about Denuvo. After all, they’re the ones who will lose what they paid for should the servers ever go dark.

What does a pirate care about Denuvo? A pirate just moves on to something else.

    3. LOL
That’s something a moron who doesn’t have a slightly idea of what DENUVO is would say.
Because in fact, only buyers care about this, since the pirates will still have their copies when the server goes off.
So you’re not just wrong, you’re stupid!

      1. Amen, praise the glory of the most high. Talk some sense into that idiot. You my friend are the new Messiah. Preach it brother. They have no Fuqin clew why we despise Denuvo. But it’s those idiots that keep going on about Denuvo performance in games. They keep in steering away the narrative from where it should be. And exactly what you’re talking about is the REAL threat of Denuvo.

You can own a game for 5 years now and if you don’t open that game for 1 week while being online, you can not open it until you sign in so they know that you own the game, that you’ve owned for FIVE FUQING YEARS!!! $#&@+? Nothing grind my gears more than DRM. Imagine owning rise of the Tomb Raider for 5 years now but can’t play the game if your Internet goes out & you didn’t boot up the game for a week, because you can’t phone home.

Virtually all square Enix game in the last 5 years are unplayable. Because square Enix NEVER remove Denuvo. Meanwhile, the Pirates DOES NOT HAVE THIS FUQIN PROBLEM #$@&+ ? Man, I need to calm down its 8:06 a.m. Anyways, thank you for being a house of reason.

        1. Yeah, I know how you feel, but don’t worry. This moronic problem tend to solve itself. It’s a matter of time till they realise they don’t own the game they bought.

    1. I guess your not aware of the fact that each new version of Denuvo has a history of being cracked exponentially faster than the version before it. Because, it’s different but the same so….if history repeats itself then the pirates aren’t going to have wait all that long for a crack.

          1. Why are you impliying things? why not just show me at least 3 games that took 10 years to crack instead? or you are gonna admit that you said something dumb again?

  1. I like how the article is 99% blabber to meet some minimum requirement with personal predictions and even more nonsense

  2. To be fair I will buy the game but denuvo is garbage and even if we complain we cant do anything about it.

      1. What is wrong with you? Kim is that you? You are the only one that’s constantly down with this Gay schitt.

  3. I hate this no body is thinking in game preservation, this is horrible. In gog is doing something but it feels that they can’t do much or is very slow

    1. True achievments website has a running list of Activision games that are dead, servers are dead, or have not been updated, or patched. There are so many James Bond games that are practiclty already gone to time becuase they only work on Win 7 if you can even find an old DVD copy. I haven’t even owned a DVD drive in a pc in 5+ years.

    1. How? Its UPS simulator…its boring as all hell. The cutscenes are the only good thing about the game which you can watch as a movie on youtube.

      1. Did you even play or are you just parroting what other people are saying? Do you know how many games are just some pointless mechanic but some people might enjoy it. I mean think about minecraft. You are digging holes in the ground for hundreds of hours. Have you even been in a mineshaft and looked back and saw miles of your previous work, and you are standing there all alone in 8-bit glory wondering what the you are doing diging in the dirt in a video game. But some people really enjoy it, its only made 80 trillion dollars.

        1. Yes I played it up to about 30 minutes after that time distortion storm that turns the game into something fun and interesting for 25 minutes. Came back to reality, talked to whatsherface(the girl with the ghost baby attached to her), watched that whole cutscene then it was back to packages and i gave up on the game. I believe that part is like what? 6ish or so hours in? The cutscenes were a real treat but the game surrounding it was the biggest snorefest ive ever had the misfortune of playing. Thankfully I didnt pay for it and was able to borrow a buddys account while he was on vacation and couldnt play it anyway. He was pissed when he came back though, played it and also despised the game as well as wasted 60$.

    2. I never liked the new doom games, too repetitive, no variety, it looks nice though. Doom was good back in the day now whenever I buy the latest doom game I end up not playing it as much. maybe it will be different with doom eternal. Death stranding is also repetitive but I respect it for the total experience it tries to deliver.

    1. This dreck is even worse because it’s an expensively priced protected piece of sh*t!

Still, it coming to PC made plenty of Soyny fanboys cry and Timmy Tencent failed to get an exclusivity deal so it wasn’t a total fail.

  4. Excellent idea to protect this title with Denuvo anti-tamper technology. We all know that pirates would be all over this game if it was unprotected. ?

  5. Is anyone really excited for this game? even peasants didn’t like it as much they like their other walking simulators.

    1. Peasants play FIFA and nothing else.
They bragged about this one just because they thought it will be exclusive.
As far as I can see, this one need some brain to enjoy (I didn’t see much of it because, you know, spoilers), so there’s the reason why peasants didn’t like it.

  6. Since it doesn’t fvck the gameplay experience, I don’t give a damn about DENUVO.
But knowing this, I’ll wait a couple of days to buy.
