Atomic Heart screenshots 3

Atomic Heart is alive, new gameplay footage surfaces, is similar to Bioshock and Prey

It’s been a while since we last heard from Mundfish and Atomic Heart, right? Well, good news everyone as Alexey Makarenko has visited Mundfish and has shared his opinion about the game itself, as well as its gameplay mechanics.

According to Makarenko, Atomic Heart is not a first-person shooter with RPG elements. It’s also not an RPG with shooter elements. Instead, this game feels like a Bioshock or Prey game. Makarenko described it as an immersive sim with shooter and fighting mechanics. The game will also allow players to level up their weapons and abilities, and there will be both crafting and looting. Moreover, the game will have some puzzles that players will have to solve.

As Makareko said:

“Overall feelings, they are close to Bioshock or Prey. It’s partly reminiscent of Dishonored, and a little bit of Metro. Plus a bit of Zeno Clash and other fighting games in first-person mode.”

In the following video, Makareko talks a bit more about Atomic Heart’s gameplay mechanics. Moreover, Makareko played the game for 4 hours and visited five locations. Two of them were small, the other two were big and the last one was a bonus location.

There is currently no ETA on when Atomic Heart will come out. Still, RTX owners can download a Ray Tracing Tech Demo from here.

Enjoy!

  1. Don’t trust a russian dev. This will be a 5 hour experience and then you’ll pay for the second part a year later.

      1. I’m woke af. Just don’t come crying here when Mundfish scam you by making it an episodic game. Btw, welcome to dsogaming, where the peak gamers unite.

Please stop, my d*ck can only get so hard!

    1. yeah the idea of having a immersive sim not made by the same people is encouraging especially in a country like russia that development is cheaper than in the west. If you dont know what i am talking about, most of these type of games have been made by the same people just type charlatan wonder in youtube to see what i mean. Also this game visuals reminds me of a game called you are empty that has a similar setting, i wouldnt be suprised if some of the devs are the same. Dont like what they did to the weapons though, not it has real weapons instead of made up ones and they dont fit well with the environment of the game.

        1. yeah and the amazing part is it has no dynamic lighting or shadows and the levels were initially meant to be much bigger.

  3. I thought i don’t know about this game, until i saw that crosshair 😛 So far game looks promising. In some way it reminds me of small beginnings when METRO 2033 was announced.

  4. what happened to those great looking graphics being shown last year? this looks mediocre at best from a visuals standpoint. hell some parts outside they were showing looked worse than Fallout 76.

  5. It’s awesome in terms of aesthetics. Environments look unreal and yet seem palpable and believable due to realistic graphics.
