Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition & Steep are free on Epic Games Store

THQ Nordic and Ubisoft are giving away three great PC games on the Epic Games Store. From today and until January 9th, PC gamers can acquire free copies of Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition and Steep.

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition features higher quality textures and rendering improvements. It also comes with better shadow rendering quality, as well as new post processing effects.

Similarly, the Deathinitive Edition  of Darksiders 2 features the base game, as well as all of its DLCs. It also comes with reworked and tuned game balancing and loot distribution. Moreover, it packs an improved Graphic Render Engine for higher visual quality especially in terms of lighting and shadows. It also features improved and reworked level, character and environment graphics.

On the other hand, Steep is an extreme sports game that drops players onto the peaks of mountains with exhilarating experiences including skiing, wingsuiting, snowboarding and paragliding. Players can traverse the Alps solo or drop in side-by-side with friends to record and share the most insane tricks ever captured on the slopes.

You can acquire your free copy for the first Darksiders game from here, and for Darksiders 2 from here. You can also get you free copy for Steep from here.

Have fun!

  1. All those games i already got them for free, darksiders on the humble bundle giveaway and steep on a uplay giveaway egs have nothing to offer me

  2. Im pretty sure that these free games are for: People who borned yesterday or people who figured that can play on PC a week ago.
Anybody else already played them and got them for free even.

  3. Wow it’s crazy the amount of games they have given away. I have 76 games now in my Epic library and it hasn’t cost me anything.

    1. It’s crazy what can dirty money can buy huh ?!?? (Tencent communist shareholding money and fortnite (which is been developped with an army of psychologe to be able to make a game the more addicted possible) Seriously, these p*ces of trash can just f*ck off. I’m not even talking about all the whole privacy aspect…

    2. Had they started off doing this instead of poaching games from Steam and Kickstarter they would’ve been painted in a much better light than they are now. It’s not all bad though, I got to upgrade my PC for black friday from all the money I saved thanks to them

      1. To be fair, Steam poached the devs for their new Half Life game, even killed off a game people were looking forward to in order to do it. No one batted and eye. Seems to me it’s more double standards than anything else.

    3. Same here plus many of the Epic Games Store ‘exclusives’ courtesy of CODEX, et al. As for the number 76 then I’d rather play Fallout 76 than give Timmy Tencent a single penny!

  4. Scummy ubisoft giving away recycled trash for the 9th time when they still require you to buy 4 season passes and DLC that cost around $200 in total.

  5. Haven’t seen a single game that any Stores has ever given away that I actually wanted.
The few I did like I already own, as with the Darksiders games.
Steep, they couldn’t pay me to take, and the same goes for all their freebies, I own them, or don’t even want them.

I’m not an Epic Hater, as a GOG user by choice, Steam has far more exclusives, than Epic will ever have, and Valve even charges devs $100 for the privilege of being on Steam.

I don’t approve of exclusives, paid, or not, but I must say comparing their recent sales.
Epic’s doing a better job of it

Steam offered a single use £3.80 coupon that expired with the sale end, but only if you bought around $38 worth games first, and spent the fake “5000 Coins”, on getting the coupon. A crap deal.

Epic gave away free £10 Coupon, that was applied to any game bought for over £13.98.
What’s more during the sale, you got another coupon under the same conditions, with no limit on how many repeat coupons you got.
Finally, though the repeats expired with the sale, the last coupon you got can be used until 1st May 2020. A Really good deal.

That’s how Epic should be using the Fortnite money to compete with Steam.
Offering great deals to their customers, not buying exclusives, that just annoys potential customers, even when they do buy the odd exclusive, they are not very likely to choose Epic, otherwise.
