NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti runs Need for Speed: Heat with 43-63fps in 4K/Ultra + 4K Screenshots

Electronic Arts has just released the latest part in the Need for Speed series, Need for Speed: Heat. This new NFS game uses the Frostbite Engine and we’ve decided to share some 4K screenshots from it. Alongside these PC screenshots, we’ll be also sharing our initial 4K PC performance impressions.

In order to capture these screenshots, we used an Intel i9 9900K with 16GB of DDR4 at 3600Mhz. We’ve paired this machine with an NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti, and we also used Windows 10 64-bit and the GeForce 441.12 driver.

Contrary to our previous titles, we’ll be now including the full range of framerates that the RTX2080Ti achieves in a game. So yeah, no more “X game can’t run with 60fps” unless it’s coming from the publishers/developers.

Need for Speed: Heat runs with 43-63fps in 4K and Ultra settings on our NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti. There were some rare occasions in which our framerate got up to 68fps, however the average framerate was around 51-57fps during the night stages. Furthermore, you will notice the framerate drops to 43-48fps even if you use a G-Sync monitor.

In my opinion, owners of the RTX2080Ti should create a custom 1872p resolution. As with other triple-A games, the RTX2080Ti can run Need for Speed: Heat with 60fps in that resolution.

Our PC Performance Analysis for Need for Speed: Heat will go live later this weekend, so stay tuned for more!

      1. 100% this, I was going to let you know it’s really good, has offline mode, can play solo, great events and progression, best customization it’s insane, no micro transactions, 1st time FOV is correct, multi screen actually works, and that cool Miami vibe that you wanted is in!

I love Horizon(3 and 4 own) and have all of them but this is easily the best NFS it decades like you said. The cops are really well done plus the Night and Day stuff works really well and keeps it fresh. I really dig everything so far. You can tell they played Horizon and went back to the NFS games that where good when they made this one.

Horizon 3 and 4 are both must owns and I have to put Heat on that list as well now. Makes Me pumped for what Horizon 5 will be like and Heat 2.

        1. Hmmmmmm. And what about the driving ? Last NFS had such arcade driving made me uninstall in 5min, not even joking.

        1. duh. Of course those games were trash. Heck 2015 was trash, this is better than payback that was better than this.

  1. it is and it isnt, its openworld but you start a race it loads it and when youve finished it, it doesnt reload back into open world you can just keep going

      1. Is that suppose to be an insult? You insult like a Puzzy. Just what I’d expect from your generation. 100% unadulterated Puzzy. Go dry yourself off, you’re starting to smell.

    1. Uhmmmmm. Hold up a minute. Isn’t EA the one that started shoving story mode in God Damn racing Games? So I’d say it’s very god damn important. I don’t know why the hell a racing game needs a “story”. Oh we all know why, cause that’s the way they get to reach whatever fuq’d messages/agendas they wanna mold people towards. So therefore, I say the Story IS VERY IMPORTANT. And the stories in NFS Games are always hot garbage. Don’t know why they just don’t make a God Damn Racing Game. And stop with the telle Novellas.

  2. its open world actually open world unlike payback, you can go on hills, it has a day and night switch no cycle like playback, lots of destruction and a heat system.

  3. The game has this horrible double tap auto drift feature which is just awful and unable to disable; unplayable imo if you use manual controls. Not to mention odd mouse and keyboard support. Sometimes for some things you can use the mouse or WASD but mostly you need the arrow keys and Enter. I get most are people are using controllers but if you’re going to put it on PC how about a full keyboard customization instead of partial keyboard rebinding.
