Epic adds Cloud Saves to 17 games, refreshes product pages, brings special patch optimization and more

Epic Games has announced some of the improvements that it made to its store. According to the company, more than 17 games now support Cloud Saves. Furthermore, the team has refreshed the product pages of all games with visual and informational improvements.

Going into more details, the games that currently support Cloud Saves on the Epic Games Store are: Alan Wake, Close to the Sun, Darksiders III, Enter the Gungeon, Genesis Alpha One, GNOG, Hyperlight Drifter, Kingdom New Lands, Limbo, Moonlighter, Mutant Year Zero, Overcooked, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, The Sinking City, This War Of Mine and World War Z. Moreover, all of Ubisoft’s games support Cloud Saves via UPLAY.

Epic is currently working with the developers of other released games to test cloud saves, and will be enabling more games over time. In addition, upcoming games that support Cloud Saves will have them enabled at launch.

On the other hand, the new product pages offer beefier game descriptions. They also offer better release date visibility for upcoming titles, and allow for additional imagery and videos.

Epic is also in the final stages of rolling out special patch optimization for developers. The optimization reduces patch download sizes significantly. Not only that, but a new look and design are coming to your game libraries. Also, a new playtime tracking feature is right around the corner.

Last but not least, Epic has launched a keyless integration with Humble Bundle and Humble Store. You can link your Epic Games account to your Humble account, enabling you to purchase games directly from the Humble store without requiring a redemption key.

  1. Good Job Epic finnaly adding some ground breaking features. Yeah i guess Epic indeed should not be compared with the current Steam, after all if I remenber correctly it Steam implemented cloud saves back in 2004.

    1. Give the one guy coding the Epic store some slack. He probably hasn’t seen his family for years now.

    1. what i like about the logo that you provided us with here is the fact that that’s piratebay’s ship with kat’s iconic color and theme, very appealing design.

      1. yea the rest of us are fine with a monopoly like steam taking a 30% cut from devs while barely bothering to do anything =)

        1. I’d rather see a monopoly less than retail does than support anti consumer practises and the people who actively make this world a worst place to live in.

70% of market share isn’t a monopoly, and Steam takes less of a cut that retail stores.

As bad and anti consumer Steam is, they’re still bot Epic/Tencent levels of bad.

  2. WHen you have the money to bribe developers but not for implementing from the start the most basic features any game client should have.

    1. Steam didn’t have this stuff for years. Honestly, they’re killing it with their development speed. It’s rather impressive, like them or not.

      1. It’s amazing that some people keep parroting that sorry excuse for an argument. You dont make a car today and say that it’s ok the wheels barely work because that’s how it was in the beginning. Software isnt made in a vacuum. Once others figure something out (and maaany of them), you no longer have the excuse.

        1. I wasn’t making an excuse for anyone. Just pointing out an observation.
Epic now has most of the major features it needs. A forum and a cart and it’s rolling.
Reviews aren’t needed and are mostly uses and simply reflect angry fanboy opinions, so I’m not concerned on that front.

          1. The fact your had trouble interpreting a very simple phrase should be an indicator of how poorly you grasp the intricacies of all the issues here. I doubt it will though.

          2. What very simple phrase did I not understand? Just because I don’t agree with me doesn’t equal a lack of understanding.

      2. Mobile phones didn’t have touch screen and ability to install all these apps from the begining, so buy my new phone, it has on/off button and spies on you, buy it and then shill for it, come one r*tard.

      3. Steam had this from day 1 when it became a store. Surely Steam didnt have it in 2003-4. But Epic store/launcher is also’s been around for years – 2014 at least.

        1. The launcher has been around a while, but the store is very new. Less than a year I believe.
Steam still doesn’t support cloud saves on many games (Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro are good examples).

  3. “You can link your Epic Games account to your Humble account, enabling you to purchase games directly from the Humble store without requiring a redemption key” this part here, what if you want to buy a Key for a friend or for a giveaway?
