New MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries 4K screenshots released

Piranha Games has released a new set of 4K screenshots for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. These new screenshots showcase some of the mechs and the game’s environments, and will give you an idea of what you can expect visually from this new mecha game.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will be the first standalone single-player MechWarrior title in development for PC in nearly 15 years. Alongside its single-player mode, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will feature intense PvE ‘Mech combat in an immersive, career-based Mercenary campaign driven by player choice.

It’s also worth noting that the game will be powered by the Unreal Engine 4, will support NVIDIA’s DLSS tech, and will support mods as well as 4-player co op mode.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is currently planned for a September 10th release.

Enjoy!

  1. As a fan of this franchise since my childhood i can’t wait for this game to come out. I hope the campaing is decent and won’t be any stupid microtransactions or paywall, is all i need from this. But the lack of gameplay shown concerns me a little.

    1. As long as there’s no tech 3 stupid microsoft wizkids trash like plasma cannons, MRMs, grenade launchers, super heavy mechs, or broken MW4 trash like PPCs that literally do no damage, I’m down.

Not that all tech 3 is BS. ER Pulse and X Pulse and streak LRMs for example are okay, ish.

  2. As a fan since 93 I wish they’d honestly drop the silly MW4 bright color pallete and go back to something like MW3 / BT / TTG with more realistic colors. MWO looked mostly fine too. Or like the Mac version – the graphically superior version – of MW2.

I guess it’s just the mechs with the bright paint jobs which has always been a thing since the 80s.

    Either way, can’t wait.

  3. I will be so happy with this game if they keep their promise for Steam Workshop support. But there are signs the game might’ve become Epic exclusive. Chief among them being removing all references to Steam in their FAQ.
