Deep Silver has released a new story trailer for Metro Exodus. Narrated from the perspective of Anna, the Spartan Order’s top sniper and Artyom’s wife, the story trailer explores the hostile world of Metro Exodus that lies in wait for the crew of the Aurora as they flee the ruins of Moscow and embark on an epic year-long journey into the unknown.
According to its description, Artyom always believed that there was life beyond the Metro and now his hopes and dreams will be put to the ultimate test in the crucible of the Russian wastelands.
Metro Exodus is an epic, story-driven first person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created.
Players will flee the shattered ruins of dead Moscow and embark on an epic, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russia in the greatest Metro adventure yet, will explore the Russian wilderness in vast, non-linear levels and follow a thrilling story-line inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky that spans an entire year through spring, summer and autumn to the depths of nuclear winter.
The game releases on February 15th.

i just cancelled my pre-order on steam, it looks like a great game but there are too many whites in this game. i’ll consider buying it when it gets a 95 percent discount if they decide to make main character brown muslim guy from pakistan. i can’t immerse myself as a white baboon.

Looks way too story based compared to older ones, idk, don’t really have a good feeling about this, it feels way too “casual” too social compared to previously, the atmosphere the game had seems totally gone, not much left.

I think you’re wrong, it’s a story trailer to begin, and the Metro series are based on the books of the name, so it has to be a little “story based”, 2033 and Last Light were story based and i think this third entry will be less narrative with it semi open maps, weapon customization and more survival mecanics, Exodus looks like the most gameplay driven of the series
I’m not saying previous metro weren’t story based, just not this much, and characters used to talk much less, anyway we’ll see, for now i’m not that hyped for this anymore.
It’s a story trailer, it’s all normal that talky thing, if you check gameplay videos (not trailers) you’ll see that Exodus is way more about gameplay than 2033 and Last Light, but wait and see…

Ditto on the casual. Also the animations and cutscenes as a whole seem way outdated today.
I’m not talking about difficulty. It was always story driven, with cutscenes and such, but not this much it seems.
I wouldn’t be so sure of it, but i know previous metro were all about playing and less talk, not that it’s always a good thing, but metro was also built around that, very minimal few social interactions and few cutscenes, this here while bigger and longer probably, still seems to have more of that compared to older games. Anyway we’ll see.
I know your taste, you could’ve complained on the presence of cutscenes in “The surge”, you’re way too gameplay and no story kind of guy.

in case you haven’t noticed metro is a dead series, no one cares unless it becomes mmo or battle royal. if metro developers had high iq like me they’d realize that these trash genres are dead and they have to adapt to market fast otherwise they’ll be closing their studio soon.
I think that’s the coolest console bundle I’ve ever seen.
