Funcom is currently offering Conan Exiles, its latest MMORPG based on the Conan universe, for free on Epic’s digital store. Conan Exiles is an open world survival game set in the lands of Conan the Barbarian that can be played in full single-player, coop, or persistent online multiplayer.
Players will have to survive in a savage world, build a home and a kingdom, and dominate your enemies in epic warfare. Players will use the powerful building system to create anything from a small home to entire cities piece by piece, wage war using swords, bows, siege weapons, and even take control of giant avatars.
We don’t know how long this offer will last, so make sure to download it while you still can. Funcom has not clarified whether this is a “free to play” offer or a complete free game that players will be able to keep theirs forever.
Those interested can download Conan Exiles from here.
Have fun!
UPDATE:
From the looks of it, this is only the dev kit for Conan Exiles. Both Epic and Funcom did not clarify on the store page whether this was only the Unreal Engine 4 dev kit or not (which is a bit misleading if you ask us). After downloading it, we can confirm that it’s only the dev kit.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

isnt this just UE4 devkit for Conan?
Yeap, it appears that this is indeed only the dev kit. Updating the story
*Yep.
I am going to sue DSOGaming for making me run the Epic Game Store unnecessarily. I demand an apology otherwise you will be seeing me in court.
hahahahaha
How many times is this already?
Supposedly Epic plans to give away a free game every 2 weeks on their store during 2019 so this game may be one of them eventually.
lol This store just gets more comical by the day. It just reeks desperation. False alarm on the game or not, this thing is off to an embarrassing start, desperately throwing money at any company that will sell its exclusivity to them.
That’s the mark of quality right there, when you have to force people to use your garbage store.
“That’s the mark of quality right there, when you have to force people to use your garbage store.”
I’m not defending Epic but Steam did the same thing when they were starting out. Valve still has their exclusive titles on Steam. Origin did as well. Basically you have to use something to motivate people to bother signing up for an account.
And, yes, there was a time when Steam was garbage and very much despised by a lot of gamers.
Good point. I wasn’t aware of that. I thought they were just doing like everyone else and making their own games exclusive to their store. Yeah, that’s pretty sh*tty of Epic.
Despite hundreds of games in my Steam library, I still strongly dislike not owning what I’ve bought.
Might want to change the misleading title then ?
Survival games aren’t MMO’s. Neither is a game like Destiny. SWG was a MMO. Pre late patch WOTLK WoW was a MMO. Ultima Online was a MMO. Dark Age of Camelot was a MMO. Asheron’s Call was a MMO. Everquest was a MMO. The first M stands for MASSIVE. Nothing in these fake new MMO’s is massive.
Would play it if it was free on steam, hard pass anyway
Epic turd, avoid.
Good looking out anyways.
Have fun!
Funcom
Which one ? “this was only the Unreal Engine 4 dev kit” oh, nevermind.
This is a great example of the poor quality gaming news articles in these days
Really hoping it won’t be the same for subnautica
Maybe instead of just rushing just to publish a click bait article you should clarify your facts and use your journalistic integrity.
Old news, Conan Exiles dev kit has been on Epic Games launcher for many months, all they did was update the store page.
Helping someone spell correctly isn’t being a pr*ck.
Also, I hardly ever do that, but this has been bugging me for years.
FYI, yea + yup = yeap. It’s a slang for yes and it’s widely used
And when you speak a different language the way to say yes also varies that foreigners might think you don’t know your own language. I only like correcting EPIC spelling failures. (not a word but who cares in 2018)
He spelled it phonetically and you are insinuating he can’t spell.
Yea i frkn downloaded 50 gb then it uninstalled itself , then i downloaded the game 150 gb and now i understand its only the dev kit f u epic games
