Humble Bundle is currently offering Outcast – Second Contact for free for a limited time. Outcast- Second Contact is the remake of the cult PC game Outcast that was developed by Appeal Studio and was released in 2017.
In Outcast – Second Contact, players take the role of Cutter Slade. Players will dive into the extraordinary landscapes of planet Adelpha in an attempt to pierce its secrets in order to prevent a terrible catastrophe. Along the way, players will uncover many things that will even surprise fans of the original.
Needless to say that this a free offer you should not walk away from. Yes, this remake was not up to what we’d hoped for and its visuals were already outdated, however we’re talking about a free offer here so those that were remotely interested in it can at least acquire their free code and give it a go.
Enjoy!

bad remastered , unity engine is not great for graphics effects and performance
Still faithfull to the original, and pretty eye candy sometimes, peformance is acceptable, but anyway, right now it’s free…
no fps view.
Unity? This is done in CryEngine, lol.
No it’s not, it is in Unity. Aren’t you thinking about OutLAST? But even then that one is in Unreal Engine 😀
There’s an Outcast fangame made in CryEngine.
Unity engine is only as good as the developers using it.
What happened to the original 7thGuest. Outdated, outclassed and outperformed?
probably what happen to me, the account wouldnt post anymore so i made a new one.
The original Outcast is still one of my favorite games of all time and the devs did a wonderful job patching it up for modern systems.
Unfortunatelly, I didn’t like the remake, at least when I tried it during the release week. I wonder if they fixed the issues…
Possibly, they made 2 patches for it.
Would say that this giveaway is good reason to try it again.
I personally really liked it, played it earlier this year. Thou there were still some issues.
issues, such as?
That it was overall rather janky. Encountered quite a few small bugs (physics bugging out and such) and controlling the character is extremely stiff, lot like in first Gothic games.
You have these definitions of alien words in subtitles that are there every single time alien word is used, even when its used for 100th time, really annoying to read.
Several times there was missing sound for certain stuff.
Well and I could not finish I think 2 quests. But that may have been that I simply broken them because of my actions and not that they bugged out. Not sure.
You defi need to have stomach for the jank, it’s perfect example of euro-jank game.
thanks for the tip

My humble tip is to download the .zip file and then upload it to your
google drive. Everyone have free 15gb cloud storage. This way you can
re-download it anytime you want. Google will never delete stuff you put
there.
This ofc changes nothing for people who simply want to
have the game on steam account but at least this way you gonna have
unlimited access to your DRM-free copy alá GoG.
