  2. Currently downloading. Its 24.6 Gb download.

Confirmed so far. Unlocked Framerate 🙂 No Official Ultrawide support 🙁

    1. Is it also true that the game,

      – AA options that don’t work
      – is a shambles to control with kbm
      – is missing multiplayer
      – has frequent frame-rate drops
      – problems with selecting resolution and proper fullscreen (a workaround is possible)
      – problems recognising Xbox 360 controller (unplugging & plugging back in fixes it)

P.S. Green Man Gaming currently have it discounted by 20%

  3. Lol recommended like always higher that actual console specs…
And on 99.9% recommended pc machine will have the same visuals like XB1.
    Optimization, forgoten thing since 2016…

        1. RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT and i was soooooooooooooo jealous about gta v and when it finaly came out it was a step up from borring gta iv and yet still pretty borring.

          far cry 5, just cause 3, watchdogs 2 > gta v

          1. I couldn’t finish any of those games. They were that boring (far cry 5, just cause 3, watchdogs 2)

          2. those games all have boring core gameplay elements, not as tedious as the new god of war but still very tedious.

          3. not as tedious as tedious as a game I’ve never played but somehow I know it’s tedious. lol

          4. i finished them all(also just cause 4 1 2 and 3 watchdogs 1 anf all of far cry games) cant wait for just cause 4!

          5. still more fun than borring gta v, atleast it has fun missions and actual open world things to do.

          6. You got bored with jc3 but you had fun with gta v? Only the heists are fun in that game which didnt give you any money, no point to buy stuff either, nothing to use them on, too story focused not alot of extra stuff to do, the opposite of jc3.

          7. gta v had all those weapons and tanks and helicopters but nowhere to use em, if you tried to have fun the cops killed you really fast. I dont see the point.

          8. Most of the game wasnt trevor though and if you try to do any of those rampages without doing the mission, trevor dies pretty fast.

          9. Yes i guess doing yoga is more fun than anything these games have to offer. Real gamers dont play dark souls they do yoga, watch movies at the local cinema and play godf, such amazing gameplay gta v has.

          1. button mashing garbage mixed with dark souls combat system which is one of the most autistic and dumbest combat systems made by mankind. also just the graphic card in my pc costs $600, what’s stopping me from buying a plastic toy to play this trash on?

          2. People who usually hate on consoles have a gtx 1050 ti and think they are “master race” lol. If they could actually afford both a PC and a console they would have no reason to hate and they would just enjoy both.

          3. if i posted an msi afterburner screenshot of my system and i was right, what would you do for me?there’s your answer as to why you can’t believe that.

          4. you are just upset because you have low iq, if you didn’t have a low iq, you wouldn’t have liked trash console games. you know this and your mind is trying to make excuse, it’s your defense mechanism kicking in.

          5. I have a low IQ for liking good games and not having an irrational and quite frankly childish hatred towards consoles LMFAOOOOOOOO. God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn were GOTY contenders for lots of respected PC gamers, but okay. Keep telling yourself whatever you need to feel better.

          6. you’re right you have definitely a high iq, using “LMFAOOOOOOOO” just proved it to me, sorry smart person.
goty contender which is a made up shet to entertain average low iq teenager like you?

          7. No. They are just affordable machines that offer great value for the money they cost. And some of the best games ever made would not exist without them.

          8. Except the true price of console ownership isn’t “great value” at all.

            Factor in the cost of,
            – mandatory subscription fees to play online
            – higher priced games
            – obscenely priced peripherals
            – upgrading to the new model every ~3.5 years

…and you could be buying a decent gaming PC for the same, if not less, money. That’s without even mentioning the many other advantages that are available to PC owners that console users are denied.

          9. – subscribtion fee (not fees) which I’m not really gonna defend but it’s $50 a year and you get some pretty good games every month included. So it’s not that bad, especially if you don’t really play multiplayer games. (lots of people only play single player)

            – Prices are actually normal, not higher. On PC you just get cheaper games from grey market websites which quite frankly F*** over the developers. Official Steam prices are the same as console prices. But… If you really insist on F***ing over the developers you can buy used games on console and even sell them when you’re done with them, which means you can basically play the games for free. Or just buy them new on release and sell them for 50-70% of the price after.

            – What are you talking about? A console generation lasts at least 5 years. It will be at least 7 years by the time the PS 5 comes out.

You can keep the same GPU or CPU for 7 years but you will have to sacrifice more and more graphics quality or framerate with each year that passes. (quick reminder that a gtx 1060 isn’t even adequate for 1080p anymore) but on console graphics only get better each year, as developers learn to optimize for them.

And don’t you dare tell me otherwise. I just recently threw away my gtx 1070 because it wasn’t enough for 1440p anymore, even though it used to be. And last year I had to upgrade my i7 4790 that was doing just fine in any game. Then games like AC Origins started coming along, where I couldn’t even hit 60 fps in some cases because the CPU would bottleneck.

Of course I had to get a new motherboard too, because my old motherboard wasn’t compatible with my new CPU socket.

          10. I don’t know very much about Playstation hardware but let’s use Xbox for example. You are claiming that consoles last much longer for gaming than PC does. Xbox One X came out 4 years after the Xbox One. Do today’s games look and run just as well on a Xbox One as they do on an Xbox One X? No.

The fact is that hardware on consoles and PCs advance very quickly and a 5 year cycle is just too long for either imo. Frequent upgrading of hardware is just a fact of life in our hobby and it always has been.

btw Please tell me you didn’t really throw away a 1070. You could have sold it on ebay for around $250 easily.

          11. lmao no I still have my 1070 in a box somewhere. I was planning on selling it but I was hesitant since I bought a 2080 and started hearing about all the reports of failing RTX cards. Wanted a backup in case mine broke.

Xbox One X and PS4 PRO are leveraged more for higher resolution than anything else. In fact every other setting for most games is still the same as the base models. As for PS4, God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn look as good on my 2013 PS4 as some of the best looking PC games on high settings. 1080p and 30 fps of course.

          12. “Official Steam prices are the same as console prices”

Sometimes. On the other hand, pc games at retail stores are always 5-15 €/$/£ cheaper than console copies.

          13. Not sometimes lol. EVERY TIME.

“pc games at retail stores are always 5-15 €/$/£ cheaper than console copies.”

            Not where I live.

          14. I don’t think the combat system in dark souls is bad, it is one of the best types of combat made for action rpgs (not saying much because most action rpgs have bad combat). The only thing i dislike is the respall after you die, etc

          15. how is it the best?you lock into a target which is basically a sponge with repetitive attack patterns and you have to roll and roll until the target is not on attack pattern and take away a tiny portion of it’s health, repeat the whole process 100 times and that’s dark souls “combat system which existed in ps1 and ps2 era.
idea of some “badass” using this combat style to take out enemies is laughable and it will only make the playable character look like a mentally ill person with fetysh for rolling. assassins in assassin’s creed for example went from skilled fighters with unique set of skills to some mentally challenged rytards who can beat anyone because they (enemies) are too stupid to react to them instead of going on a attack pattern.

          16. lol if you are so insecure to cite one example of action rpg with better combat(most of these have crap combat aniways) then maybe you are full of shet 😀

          17. assassin’s creed was never an rpg and its combat in AC3 was the best in series, they needed to make it more challenging, they could make it work with unity but they decided to make it garbage like dark souls in ac origins.

          18. Still spamming your Photoshopped pic in the effort to big up your corporate overlord Sony despite it having given Kratos the grin of a paedophile. Such fail!

        2. he’s a peasant but i agree with him on you kids being jealous that you can’t paly rdr2, just because you can’t play it, it doesn’t mean it’s bad. there’s nothing to be jealous of console peasants since they have low iqs and cheap trashy toys but shetting on rdr2 because it’s not on pc is idiotic.

        3. AND WE WILL NEVER OWN ONE. Anyway i have hitman 2 and in few days darksiders 3 then just cause 4 so sunset overdrive has to wait!

        4. Having played rockstar games on console and PC
Ignoring all graphical advantages the PC controls are worlds more responsive and enjoyable

      1. Not really. Both share the same things basically:

Huge michael bay exlosions – Check!
Over the top effects – Check
Over the top physics – Check
        Sandboxy world – Check
Over the top weaponry – Check

Only, Sunset Overdrive actually looks cool and original. The things you can do in Just Cause 4, has already been done in Garry’s mod and GR: Wildlands and Far Cry 4 combined.

        1. >Only, Sunset Overdrive actually looks cool and original.

Pretty much. Just Cause hasn’t done anything new since the second one.

          1. Starting to get that feeling more and more often these days, it’s a bad trend. There seem to be little effort put on originality and depth. Even Dice has this happening to them. AI can’t climb ladders, JackFrags made a video playing the War Stories (campaign) He climbed a german watchtower, killed the guy up there, and the soldiers on the ground just stood there looking up at him, doing nothing lol. So I asked the AI-programmer that worked on DICE and BFV about it. (Actually a guy that I’m acquainted with) This is what he had to say about it:

“Ladders suck. AI don’t need to use them” followed by “There weren’t to many places in the game that they needed them”

In which I replied: “Obviously they do, if you hide up there and taunts the enemy. Makes for a hilarious situation though.”

He then said: “Single player was in really bad shape. Lots of reasons. I don’t work there anymore so I’m happy to not defend the game”

It’s this kind of mentality that starts to become normalized. You just skip out on details like that, take the easier route. Which breaks immersion and makes for a lower quality game.

          2. At this point I’m more of an external observer of the video game industry. I haven’t played a game in almost two years. Beyond improvements in graphics, it doesn’t seem like there’s any actual innovation that makes me feel like I’m missing anything.

          3. Yeah, what you just said pretty much summons up my situation. The only upcoming game that I’m genuinely interested in is Metro Exodus at this point. Not even RDR2 has me too startled.

          4. I don’t think I’ll buy another non-VR video game again, to be honest. Now, that doesn’t mean I’m not excited for video games. As I type this I’m watching BigMooney on YouTube play Hitman 2 and it’s really entertaining. I just have no interest in actually playing anything myself anymore.

          1. No, but Crysis series and Far Cry series has. Wildlands has the big environments and the vehicles. JC is nothing but the lovechild of Garry’s mod, Crysis, Far Cry and Wildlands…

  4. ” via its Steam store page”

oh it has a steam page now?

750 ti, minimum but recommends a 1060 for such an old game.

    1. I’m assuming they are referring to the 1060 3GB since they grouped it with a RX 480. Usually they group the 1060 6GB with the RX 580 but anyway the 1060 3GB seems excessive for recommended as that GPU is well over twice as fast as a 750 Ti.

I would think recommended would be a 1050 (non Ti) or at the most a 1050 Ti.

  5. unlocked framerate, works on win 7, no texture settings, you can change blur, bloom and other effects like that. So far thats what i gathered from looking online.

        1. Controllers are good for racing and platforming games. M&K is good for shooters and RTS/TBS and RPG games. It’s good to have the use of both.

          1. Imagine dagoat playing Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat/Soul Calibur et al using mouse and keyboard, lol.

          2. no, controllers are garbage at everything other than a few games and that’s only and only because developers purposefully nerf mouse and keyboard advantages like fighting games.

        1. Obviously. It must be compatible on Win 7 as well. Makes little sense if they drop support for this OS, given this game isn’t a very demanding title.

  6. Really funny how everyone was toxic toward this game when the first rumors of the PC Port came out, and how everyone now is saying that it’s the best game ever. C’mon guys, a game doesn’t need to be on PC to be good, it can reach it full potential thanks to better hardware and perhaps mods and tweaks, but there are plenty good games that aren’t on PC, i wish i can play all games on PC like every logic person, so don’t shoot me, but stop being elitist, you can prefer PC over console gaming and still have a console, you can prefer PC Gaming only too, that’s a matter of choice, but that doesn’t make console games systematically bad even if some exclusives are often overrated, and to finish even an overrated game can still be enjoyed if you don’t take the press reviews in count

    1. ????????????????????????????

I dont know what you mean by that, i saw the articles and no one seems to hate it, are you talking about some other site many years ago?

      1. Multiple sites including this one when the “first” rumors came out, by first i mean those back in 2015, and this was just because the game was exclusive, you can see this by yourself, if a game is exclusive or skips PC for a time, PC Gamers will systematically hate it, hate it devs, his mom and his dog…

    1. You got that right. They tricked me a long time ago and have been telling me I need to upgrade ever since. That 64 MB of VRAM in my GeForce 3 card was good enough in 2001 and it should be good enough today.

    2. You got that right. They tricked me into buying a GeForce3 card a long time ago and have been telling me I need to upgrade ever since then. That 64 MB of VRAM in my card was good enough in 2001 and it should be good enough today ; )

      Just look at these benches:

      1. You should be able to buy a computer and have it last forever. Technology is one big Rube Goldbergian Ponzi scheme.

  7. I was surprised to see no Windows 7 support until I saw the publisher was Microsoft. Like a little insecure bully mad that people hate their newest products. Usually I would hope for a Linux version but with M$ as publisher I doubt i’ll see one.
