Assassin’s Creed Odyssey releases in a few days and since Ubisoft has provided us with a review code, we’ve decided to share some 4K screenshots and the game’s graphics settings. Ubisoft has also confirmed that there will be a day-1 patch.
As you can see, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey comes with a wide range of graphics settings, similar to those of Origins. The game displays a description for each individual setting, and there is a benchmark tool that gamers can use in order to test overall performance.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will let players experience incredible adventures in a world where every choice matters. Players will be able to play as Alexios or Kassandra and the game will offer a new dialogue system.
We’ll be sure to share our first performance impressions this Monday, so stay tuned for more. Until then, enjoy the following 4K screenshots!

The game will have AMD free-sync 2 HDR.. did not see that one coming from ubisoft.. amd had to pay..
Just like Nvidia does when you see G-Sync support… It’s all the same. Just a different GPU Company paying the money…
From ubisoft.. if this was lest say dice or bethesda I would not be suprised
I guess you missed the announcement some time ago where Ubisoft partnered with AMD.
Is this cracked already or how did you get it?
you can use money to buy video games. when publishers and developers make games they take your money and give you their game.
Publishers send codes…
he went inside Ubi and stole a bunch of copies.
All these years since the blame game of DX11 with Unity and Ubisoft still uses DX11 with AC games. Pathetic.
DX 12 is better or what else should they use?
The game and it’s dev/publisher are pathetic but not because of DX12. being an awful game with glitches, terrible level design, used assets and being repetitive as hell is what that makes it pathetic.
if you compare a game like fallout new vegas to ubishet titles, they’re exactly opposite of each other, fallout new vegas looks empty and uninteresting (with exception of few landmarks) from distance but as you play you discover big and detailed world that’s been carefully designed. ubishet however creates an interesting looking map on surface, everything looks good and seems like you want to go there but when you get there, it’s either nothing or a disappointment at best. repetitiveness and used assets is ubishet signature imo.
a(s.)scrack origins when?
another game which i have to wait for crack, damn.
I wont play it for free
me too! too much AC for too many years
yeah, waste of time, space, bandwidth and electricity
“F**&*&** PIRRATTEEESSS…. YOU FILTHY SCUMMM..”
….. Sorry… A little bit of KKW (God rest his/her/them/they’s soul) rubbed off on me I suppose…
I gotta admit they improved the visuals since last time.
So tell us John, you being Greek, how much of it the game nails?
The Game looks good/okay, but is it just me who thinks that this whole Assassin’s Creed franchise/IP is getting a little TOO much monotonous and boring (gameplay wise at least) ?
Correct me if I’m wrong though, but I think AC2/Assassin’s Creed II is still the best in this entire AC lineup of games, imo.
Or, maybe UBISoft should try changing the theme/settings of Assassin’s creed, if it fits this franchise (instead of using “history” as a base) ?
AC IV: Black Flag, and was a decent game though (or maybe even Brotherhood) ?
I personally love the original premise of the game and I think there is SOOO much more to explore with the modern day Animus and actual Assassin/Templar conflicts. The problem is, they’ve already used most of the prominent historical settings and most of the time, wrote an utterly CRAP story to go with it so now everyone’s tired of the repeated gameplay when they’ve never quite gotten the same reward and experience they got from AC:2 and Brotherhood, with all of the mystery and intrigue of deep political plots between the two sides.
If they could actually find some damn good writers that they were sure could impress, I think they could revisit some of the previous settings and write a co-story, or even sequence to some of the other main characters and everyone would fall in love again. To me, the main reason everyone is burned out is because there hasn’t been any motivation or sense of purpose to complete missions, tasks and gameplay mechanics because the stories have been so empty and uninspired. When the story is excellent, you actually feel a sense of purpose in everything you do, even in so-called boring and trite gameplay meanings. Every since Desmond died (and don’t get me wrong, I think his conclusion was excellent), there has been so sense of purpose wandering around throughout history through a machine because he was never replaced with anyone else with a sense of urgency or purpose in the current day world. People liked Shawn and Rebecca and following them wasn’t a bad idea, but for God’s sake, write a good and intricate story if you’re going to do so! A cumulative 5 minutes of cut scenes and voice overlays of those characters is not going to emotionally invest anyone into what they’re doing and what’s going on.
I have always loved Assassin’s Creed, even though I can now admit it lost it’s true charm and allure pretty much after AC3 (Black Flag was fun, but for the reasons previous AC games were great). I know many people just want the franchise to fail and stop altogether, but I don’t! I just want someone who truly understand what the series was story/history wise that has excellent writing skills to get involved and make something truly good again.
They killed that story with ac3. Sad.
As far as concluding the end of main character, I think it was done well, but I don’t think it was necessarily Desmond’s time to go and they could have done quite a bit more before killing him, though I don’t think they could have continue the build-up to the solar flare for much longer than another game or two.
Probably had to do with Desilets leaving the project and all that.
Well put. Couldn’t have said it better myself though. I agree with some of your thoughts.
By the way, I think AC:ORIGINS has a pretty decent storyline unlike other recently released AC games in this series, IMO ?
actual Assassin/Templar conflicts
Actual conflicts? The Crusades were a centuries-late response to the jihad against eastern Christendom.
Yes, this is true. But there have always been very interesting conspiracy theories surrounding the two factions and they spent a bit of time exploring them in the earlier games. It made for very interesting story telling. But at some point they just stopped caring about the connections to history and instead used “Assassin/Templar” as a mere framework for “good guy/bad guy” or sometimes “cowboys/Indians”
I’ve never been comfortable playing as a jihadist, just as I would never play as a Nazi.
Yeah pretty much but i thought black flag was boring, tiny identical islands and repetitive naval battle minigames, crap story too.
I had fun with the game overall, but I kind of agree with you. I NEVER saw Black Flag as the “best entry in the franchise” like so many people seem to do. I think it’s just trendy to have a pirate fetish at the moment, or at was then, so everyone loved the game because it was pirate themed. But for an AC game, it was more bollocks.
Honestly speaking, even I didn’t like Black Flag that much. It was the same boring/repetitive gameplay, with the exception of a Naval/sea combat system.
That was a welcome change for some Gamers, but I found it dull overall.

Wuz
Well, apparently 80% of the voice actors are Greek and even the guy who made the spartan kick video for e3 was Greek.
But the canadian development team had to remove and change alot of stuff because they are canadians and its the current year. Atleast they tried using actual Greeks for actors.
You are following the news about this tired franchise ? 😀 what happened to you ?
IMO game looks much better compared to Origins. Unlike AC Origins landscape is not empty, there’s very dense vegetation and grass. I like what I’m seeing.
AC Origins in Greece, that’s all it is.
So it looks like pretty much the exact same graphics options, item for item, that Origins had.
I’m assuming they’re still using that temporal filtering based AA that improves your performance when you put it on low because it’s rendering at lower than native and upscaling. All in all, I think it worked really well, but there HAS to be some significant sharpening when using this method or its unbearable. ReShade helped with Origins, but the only thing I could get to look good was the FineSharp filter, which is VERY expensive on performance. All of the usual cheaper sharpening shaders either couldn’t sharpen that blurry image enough, or they made it very unnatural looking.
From the looks of the screenshots above, it looks heavily improved in terms of sharpness and image quality, but I don’t know if these were taken straight from the game with the built-in photo mode, of if they’ve been touched up after and sharpened, or if the game was rendered at 4K with the upscaling AA turned off.
thanks for correcting me.
Kid how old are you 12? If truly believe this then you don’t deserve to be called a gamer.
don’t worry we all know who’s 12
