Focus Home Interactive has released the Gamescom 2018 gameplay trailer for Insurgency: Sandstorm. Insurgency: Sandstorm is New World Interactive’s new game: a reborn, improved, and expanded sequel to indie multiplayer FPS hit Insurgency, coming September 18th to the PC. According to the press release, and thanks to all the positive feedback the game received during the first Pre-order Beta last month, the studio has polished and optimized the game to meet players’ expectation.
Insurgency: Sandstorm is built in Unreal Engine 4 with upgraded graphics, promising to take the series into a new era. The game will feature extended gameplay possibilities, improved immersion, as well as new co-op and versus objective-based game modes, while also retaining the lethal tactical action that made Insurgency the worldwide phenomenon it is today.
In Insurgency: Sandstorm, players will experience kinetic, gritty, and immersive combat on a modern battlefield that strikes a balance between action and simulation gameplay. Both you and your enemies can die in as few as one or two shots; there is no health bar, kill feed, crosshair, or regenerating health. Teams must move with speed and fluidity as they weave through dense urban environments, capturing and destroying vital enemy objectives.
Each weapon has unique ballistic calculations that take into account bullet drop, travel time, and penetration power. Bullets are tracked realistically in each magazine container, and magazines do not automatically merge together. Players can choose to drop magazines for faster reloads in dangerous situations, carefully open doors to keep quiet, or bash them down with a shoulder charge.
Enjoy!

trash online shooter as if we don’t have enough of them, pay full price then you don’t get to play it when you don’t have internet or a good connection.
you’re an idiot. first of all the game is far from trash, isn’t “full price” and obviously you need a internet connection to play a online game
you go ahead and buy this game, we’ll see how you feel when playerbase is dead. thanks for your money rytard.
Considering the Source Engine Insurgency still has a very active and strong playerbase, i’m happy to part with my money 🙂
can you say the same thing about verdun, rising storm 1 and 2, red orchestra, battalion 1944, post scriptum, squad, days of war, day of defeat, day of infamy, tannenberg, enlsited, war of rights, holdfast: nations at war, onward too dude?i didn’t count many other online shooters and games like heroes and generals, fortnite and other free2play games that eat up potential online players.
I tried it and but ultimately refunded. The optimization is just too bad at the moment. Maybe after its out of early access it’ll improve. Even at high fps it felt like swimming through mud.
they’ve stated numerous times that optimization is the very last thing they are doing before the game launches. the gameplay is fantastic that that’s what counts
and the “swimming through mud” yeah that’s movement in UE compared to source, i don’t know why everyone loves the UE engine, the movement is terrible.
This game already is awesome, besides that it really just needs optimization work which the dev-team has said they are working on. If any of you actually liked the mod, or the standalone release of it; this game only adds to it with far better shooting mechanics and the movement feels a lot tighter too. I had the chance to play it at my bosses house for a few hours and it was phenomenal.
It hopefully will have a large player base when the full release comes out because the development team deserves it and so does the community due to the fact that every single multiplayer shooter besides Quake Champions feels like dog sh-t right now.
