The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is the first official VR TWD game, releasing in 2019

Skydance Interactive has unveiled The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, the first official VR title set in the expansive universe of The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is set to launch in 2019 and is being developed in partnership with Skybound Entertainment, the company founded by Eisner Award-winning creator of the The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman.

Set in the flooded remains of New Orleans, the game will challenge players to make their way through the iconic quarters, as they explore what has become a brutal, unforgiving wasteland. Players will have to deal with others struggling to survive in what remains of this once vibrant city.

For those attending San Diego Comic-Con, Skydance Interactive and Skybound Entertainment will showcase the teaser art for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners in a come-to-life setting at the Harbor House Restaurant from July 18 to July 21. The event will feature more art and panels for fans of The Walking Dead.

  1. It’s going to be another mindless shooter. I can’t wait until VR divorces itself from gaming. VR deserves better, more open-minded developers instead of just rehashing the same garbage design tropes from gaming and pushing them into VR.
