At E3 2018, Focus Home Interactive showcased its Call of Cthulhu game and below you can find a video showing 10 minutes of gameplay footage from that demo. Lovecraft fans should definitely give it a go as it will give them an idea of what they can expect from it.
In Call of Cthulhu players assume the role of private investigator Edward Pierce who is sent to investigate the tragic death of the Hawkins family in their imposing mansion on the isolated Darkwater Island, off the shores of Boston. Between unfriendly locals and dubious police reports, it becomes clear there’s more to the case than meets the eye and soon Pierce is plunged into a terrifying world of conspiracies, cultists, and cosmic horrors.
Focus Home Interactive plans to release Call of Cthulhu later this year.
Enjoy!

I hope this game will be s exy.
You can’t make movies and games about cthulu. It just doesn’t work. You can’t visualise them.
Of course you can, actually featuring them is the retarded part, completely misses the point of a Lovecraftian work, which is why that thumbnail is so awful.
Cthulu manifesting itself would essentially end he world by his presence alone.
This looks legit!
Sweet mother of f***, this is going to be amazing.
?????????
I dont get why you thin that, graphics alone hint this will be a mediocre unfinished game.
But i got to say the fact there has to be a game without combat to to roleplaying instead of saying its a “rpg” because it has repetitive combat with levels and bulletspongy enemies, shows just how bad modern games are.
To me, it appears the developers have a strong understanding of CoC and how a proper game related to it should actually be.
The fact that there is an RPG with no combat but it still has skills you have to level to progress is an interesting game idea. You’re investigating it doesn’t have to have combat, which shouldn’t be some indictment of modern horror and modern game design. If a game manages to achieve the one thing it’s supposed to ultimately do which is to scare you, then it has achieved its goal.
the fact that this is based on the coc rules and there is no combat is hilarious. was so excited for this for the last 3 years but every delay it looks worse and makes it seem like more of a upcoming disaster.
