Cyberpunk 2077-new

First gameplay details about Cyberpunk 2077 revealed from the behind closed doors E3 2018 demo

As we’ve already reported, CD Projekt RED has shown Cyberpunk 2077 behind closed doors. And thankfully, the first gameplay details from this build have surfaced online. According to the reports, Cyberpunk 2077 will be a first-person RPG with the camera moving to third-person during curscenes.

In the game, players assume the role of V who can be a man or a woman. The E3 demo featured a big level that have a Blade Runner feeling and players will be able to drive cars.

The stats players will pick at the start include Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, Reflexes, Tech, and Cool, and these stats are all pulled from the original tabletop RPG.

Below you can find all the gameplay details from Cyberpunk 2077’s E3 2018 demo.

  • CD Projekt describes the game as a “first-person RPG.”
  • Gameplay is in first a first-person perspective, but switched to third-person during a cutscene.
  • You play a character named V (as in the letter).
  • V can be a man or a woman.
  • The stats you pick at the start include Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, Reflexes, Tech, and Cool.
  • These stats are all pulled from the original tabletop RPG.
  • You can drive cars in the game, and seemingly toggle between first and third person during this.
  • While driving in first-person, the U.I. appears diegetically on the windshield.
  • CD Projekt also described Cyberpunk as a “mature experience intended for mature audiences.”
  • Like Witcher, you take missions from NPCs and have dialogue options in conversations.
  • It’s an open world that you open up more with “street cred.” For example, a specific jacket might raise it by 5%, allowing you access to new places.
  • Completing a quest levels up your street cred.
  • The UI in the demo is extremely minimal at — just a light compass and a small quest log.
  • UI expands during combat — enemies have names, health bars, and what appear to be levels.
  • Some enemies have question marks instead of levels, possibly meaning they’re much higher level than you.
  • Damage numbers pop up during combat.
  • There’s a bullet-time-like ability that allows you to slow down time.
  • CD Projekt keeps emphasizing that choices have consequences, in the moment and to the world at large.
  • Obstacles have several solutions depending on your skills. For example, V got to a door, but his hacking skill was too low. However, his engineering skill was high enough, so he could open a panel and bypass the door.
  • There’s an inspection system lets you look super close at items and learn more about lore.
  • You use an inhaler to heal.
  • Gunplay feels slower than Doom or Borderlands, but faster than Fallout 4.
  • CD Projekt showed off some late-game abilities, including mantis-like blade arms and wall running.
  • A boss fight against a dude in an exoskeleton was shown. This included sliding under cars and taking cover.

  1. So a CD Projekt First Person shooter set in the Cyberpunk universe? It sounds like we’re getting the ultimate Open World game now from everything that has come out.. I’m completely sold on the game now. Now here comes the real wait.

    1. ” It sounds like we’re getting the ultimate Open World game now from everything that has come out”

If you like cyberpunk like me, then yeah, pretty much.

      1. I love Cyberpunk. Always been fascinated with the genre, and also any game that can be described as it. Open world, FPP RPG, in a cyberpunk universe is just to much for me to handle. I want it right now.

    1. Then do, lol. If that’s what sets you off, you don’t deserve it either way.

Witcher games are supposed to be played 3rd person, futuristic 1st.

    2. Hey this guy won’t buy this game. See Nobody cares. I’m in it for great story/world/setting/side-quest and CPR has so far always delivered on these parts.

      1. i think u are one of the guys who rushed the story without exploring

exploration its superb in MKDV i got 50h into the game stil didn’t finish 40% of it

plan to go over 180h great content great places to explore a truly masterpiece
If cyberpunk can beat that then i’m sold

        1. No i just didn’t finish it from how bad it was, i got to a point and then just quit, it was unbearable, atmosphere in NOTHING like cyber punk we’ve seen in human revolution, let alone first deus ex, and story sounded way too stupid right from the start, missions were bad and boring for the most part, the design of the city is absolutely sh** and again prague isn’t something you’d think when thinking about cyber punk.

          1. you should give it a try(again) its a pure masterpiece and a lot better than other nonsense games like witcher 3
hacking a whole bank and killing everyone stealth + finding info about secrets vaults + exploring the city to find keycard for that..And thats just one amazing thing from this game (Prague has a special vibe tbh for me at least) its absolutly fantastic and i can say its even better than MGSV in some mission its not as liniear and boring.
People who said bad things about this game they rushed the game in 30h to finish it and its a bad ideea

          2. AHAHA A MASTERPIECE, when you think someone couldn’t get lower, THERE WE GO, LMAO, conversation ends here man, sorry.

          3. well i guess you are one of those kids/teen who plays COD and that for them its a true masterpiece xD

            /CLOSED

          4. yeah wasnt my thing i tried but still didn’t got into it, like i did with BOTW for example
BOTW was worse than a drug addiction tbh LOL

          5. what do you mean by my R* avatar?
have you not played Max Payne ,GTA VICE CITY and red dead redemption

soundtrack and gameplay wise are amazing work of art by R*
GTA V i agree its great optimized ,good graphics but it doesn’t have as much emotional impact like older ones .

          6. “atmosphere in NOTHING like cyber punk we’ve seen in human revolution,”

This is what happens when you put a cyberpunk game in Prague.

    1. HR was much better in every regard, lmao, you guys are totally twisted. It had nothing of cyber punk, nothing

      1. Tastes? These here ain’t tastes, whoever says that game is good is either blind or mentally ill, it was the worst sh** ever, i also saw you say it has BEST CYBERPUNK ENVIRONMENT ENVIRONMENTS EVER DONE TO DATE IN AN RPG (i’m totally on the floor now), which couldn’t be more different than the truth, unless you don’t know what cyber punk is, which could be very possible at this point and IT WAS IN MANY WAY BETTER THAN HR, this is completely twisted, lmao, now you only need to say it was better than the original and then you’ll complete my analysis of you, and you LOVED THE IMMERSION!!!!! technically is a fking disaster, yet you say something like this, got really nothing to tell you two people.

        1. That game is utter sh** you can like it how much you want but it’s still sh** and will remain so no matter what you say.

      2. Well it didnt have good shooting and the fps fov is awful and changing it makes the game look weird. So ill disagree with that one.

        1. Not even MD had good shooting, well it actually was acceptable on both, but technically was never something to follow but MD was a disaster, run bad looked bad in many cases, many problems of stability and sh**

    2. The only good thing about Deus Ex Mankind Divided is ambient music (not stupid combat music). Ambient tracks by Michael Mccan and Sascha Dikiciyan are superb.

      1. And let’s not forget CDPR really listens to their fans and offers support, updates & DLCs for free.

    1. Came here to say that. If third person isn’t an option, I’m not going to buy it. Metroid prime made me motion sick as it was.

      1. I agree. Not the motion sickness but about the part of not buying it if no first person.

For me, First person just isn’t any fun compared to a full fleshed well done Third person game. I loved Deus Ex Human Evolution and Mankind Divided, but I think those game could really benefit from having full Third person mode instead of the hybrid solution.

Or do like GTA V, which works really well in both modes.

      2. I’ve got a buddy that plays pubg with me once in a while cause he gets motion sick. If it’s first person he’ll only play 1h and then he’s done for. I guess strafing and quick images are a problem for u guys. Never understood it tho.

  2. If you take a look in Twitter there are a lot of images and one view in real time from Night City…it looks so big and lively, I never seen something like that in a game before…I mean something that incredible and playable.

(won’t put links here because yesterday you marked me as Spam for a single comment, so won’t put nothing more ever again in this web site)

Rafal Jaki on Twitter has a great view from Night City.

    1. John has set the system to having to approve posts containing links, which makes no sense because he approved multiple gore and gay pr0n that some troll posted 2 days ago.

So yeah post em they will be approved eventually.

    1. Its easier on the renderer too…although I’m pretty sure that CDPR will allow you to switch back and forth.

  3. I welcome it being first person. It’s kind of silly to block 1/4 of the screen with you character’s back…

Also, there are plenty of facts left out in this article, such as:

    * No level scaling (finally!!!!!)

    * 3 main classes (Netrunner Techie and Solo) with subclasses like Rockerboy and Corporate (hopefully more)

    * Full character creation

    * Besides cars, also bikes, and probably flying cars.

    * Weapons – 3 branches – Power Weapons (heavy hitting/stagger), Tech Weapons (penetrating through cover), Smart Weapons (tracking/following)

    * Fully voiced main character

    * 6 unique districts in the city, buildings are enterable, plenty of vertical exploration.

    * XP is plit between ‘main quest XP’ and ‘side quests XP’.

    1. Agreed. At least give us the option. I know games like Witcher 3, Batman, etc have lots of acrobatics so understandable there and at least the camera pans back for combat, but damn I hate how they do it for games like God of War and the characters are huge and block the screen. Or at the very least, put a FP “search” view that goes back into 3rd when done. Regardless, I know what I look like and dont need to see “muh sikc armorz.” Feels like an MMO where insecure narcissists love to stand around in hubs marveling at themselves.

    2. “3 main classes (Netrunner, Techie and Solo) with subclasses like Rockerboy and Corporate (hopefully more)”

so they lied. they originally said all the classes would be there own thing! now its 3 main classes and subclasses? not like the rpp at all! they lied! just like the witcher 3 graphics downgrade! all cdjewject do is lie.

  4. The fpp crushed my soul i have to admit.I don’t buy the argument that this perspective makes the game more immersive. You will be immersed in the world and its reality from either perspective,in witcher 3 the immersion was unparalleled. Also seeing the animation of your character in third person in combat can be extremely impressive. They were talking years ago about how cool would it be wandering around dressed in crazy clothes in night city and having a feeling that somethings wrong. Also seeing the implants you have performing and animating in third person would be a seriously rad addition. What about cover?Cover is way more impressive looking on third person.I’m seriously lost.I’m sure the game will still be faking great but not having third person is like shooting their own feet. What a great loss indeed.I sincerely hope they reconsider.

    1. I cant believe there are people who think fps isnt more immersive, but the point that you project your self in the game and cant see some other dude’s face makes it more immersive, also you cant see behind you, do you really think all those horror games will be more immersive if they were third person?

    1. yeah calling it charisma sounds way better
i wonder if cloths and appearance affect charisma like it does in kingdom come

  5. BOOOOOOOOOOO!!

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. You got some chains to rattle too?

      Cliiiiiink

      Cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkk

      Cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  6. My hype level before E3 trailer = 100
My hype level after E3 trailer = 95
My hype level after hearing its first person and not third person = 90

Still a lot of hype but not as much going into E3.

  7. i was gonna use some pr0n to jack off but this did it anyway.

All perfect but, i hope enemies are bullet sponges like division.

  8. Trump is destroying you, best president in decades, high economic growth, neutered North Korea, lowest unemployment in lations and blacks, Jerusalem the capital of Israel, he protects the working class jobs and the rust belt, has doubled black support on top of white women voting for him, destroyed the media, lowered your taxes and gave you more money, he put America first and sticked it to eu the TPP and all the rest. I dont know how to say this to you but like Scott Adams said, no one cares about the facts, all they care is results and Trump is delivering, he will undoubtedly win again in 2020 and i am not even a Trump fan nor i am American.

  9. What? lol President Trump has all the sensitive lefties so butthurt that he’s in your head 24-7. You have Trump Derangement Syndrome. lol

  10. Think of it as Augmented Reality. A fun app for killers, to make shooting more entertaining.

  11. There is already a link to IGN, perhaps you missed it? It’s right in the first paragraph.

  12. What’s the point of coming to E3 and showing your game behind close doors only to some poeple ? and worst, most of those people don’t even care about video games, they are just there to check if it’s PC enough or not.
