Fallout 76 releases on November 14th, new details + E3 2018 screenshots

Bethesda has revealed that Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person, will release on November 14th. In Fallout 76, players will work together, or not, to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, players will experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.

As the press release reads:

“Twenty-five years after the bombs fall, you and your fellow Vault Dwellers—chosen from the nation’s best and brightest – emerge into post-nuclear America. Play solo or join together as you explore, quest, build, and triumph against the wasteland’s greatest threats.”

Todd Howard, Game Director at Bethesda Game Studios, said:

“We’ve been asked forever to bring multiplayer to one of our worlds. And once we had this idea, we knew it was perfect for Fallout. It’s great to finally share this game and this world with everyone.”

Fallout 76 is set in West Virginia hills and is the biggest Fallout game as it’s 4X times the size of Fallout 4.

Enjoy!

  1. So far the words used to describe the online play with your friends sounded good. As the video presentations of all the things you can do looked good as well. The only thing I am worried about on PC in general is how well will it’s anti cheat system be.

  2. Well usually online means, well no businnes for me here, but i might give this a chance i need to see more. Will Look reviews and stuff.

  3. I feel like theres a misconception about this game that its fallout but multiplayer, its not. Its a survival game like RUST, basically its free-for-all deathmatch where you run around in a open world built and kill everything.
Though i am kinda excited, its nice to finally see a survival game done by an actual big developer that has the funding to actually pull it off.

    1. I’d much rather another single-player Fallout game with the option of co-op. PvP Multiplayer does not interest me one bit, even less so Survival multiplayer. Ugh.

  4. These are complete bullshots. The in-game graphics from the trailer released earlier today showed the textures and rendering were way below this quality.

    1. These was console version but pc version max settings 1440p and 4k will look like this!

  5. So kotaku guy was absolutely spot-on in that those who expect a single-player experience will be disappointed. Bethesda and Todd Howard must’ve completely lost touch with reality if they think that this online survival is something that appeals to gamers nowadays. First Minecraft mechanics in Fallout 4, then this crap.

  6. CDPR itself is no saint. You can’t even trust the gameplay videos because anything can change in the course of whatever time period and you’ll get a dumbed down game tailored for consoles both in terms of gameplay mechanics and graphic fidelity.

    1. Don’t worry, they’re gonna beta test it first to iron out all bugs and improve the game based on user feedback, so mods won’t be needed 🙂
