The Farm 51’s developers have been answering some community questions about their new multiplayer military first-person shooter on the game’s official Steam forum. According to the developers, World War 3 will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will support up to 64 players in a match.
World War 3 will also have its unique Battle Royale mode, called Recon. Recon won’t be like Rush at all as the developers have taken some features of a standard BR mode that fit its gameplay and as a result of that there’s currently no BR game similar to Recon (or at least that’s what the devs claim).
Regarding the game’s vehicles, helicopters may be introduced during early access and Jets will act as support strikes/ score streaks. Jets will act only as a support strikes/scorestreaks and players will not be able to control them. Moreover, The Farm 51 will implement battle drones.
The developers would also love to add a realistic soldier behaviour when injure, however this is really complicated and it will be difficult to have it from the get-go.
Last but not least, the game won’t feature any AI bots, its Warzone mode will be similar to Battlefield’s Conquest mode, and it may receive some mod tools after its launch.
World War 3 comes to Steam Early Access in Fall 2018!

Meaning the game will have an extremely short shelf life after player count dwindles to nothing within six months of the game’s release.
Probably will go exactly like that. Publishers/ Developers are still going to chase after the next PUBG massive success though.
Sad but true. This game has potential though…

Hey just wanted to tell you i’ve completed The Surge and i must say it’s better than what i initially thought, although still far from “great” or “awesome” but surely a good game in the end, in my opinion, i’ll surely be keeping an eye to the sequel, hoping they change, add and improve something, i still think this has the potential to be better than dark souls in every regard, i mean it already is, honestly, but to go to next level i think they should stop and take dark souls as an example, and just do what they think could be good.
Understood, i don’t know but i think i might only like The surge, because the “souls-like” style is probably what i liked less about the game, so i’m not surely looking for souls like games, because i still fail to see what’s interesting about them.
I will try LOTF too as soon as i have the chance.
“Battle Royale”
instant unfollow
so many talentless hacks are riding the wave of BR it’s pretty much acts as filter
The BR mode is clearly not the focus, and it’s not even a simple copy paste job of existing BR formulas.
Wait until they reveal the BR mode though, they’ve said that it wouldn’t be like the typical BR mode.
I feel the exaclty same way about Unreal Engine 4
This is so dead …..
In term of looks its what i i wanted battlefied 5 to be
Unreal Engine 4
Early Access
Battle Royale.
*Rolls eyes*
That’s a haiku of disappointment.
Good news if it’s true.
And thanks for posting this. There are a lot of gamers wanting to upgrade for a while now but prices were ridiculously high due to VRAM shortages and Miners. I think they will be happy that they had to wait as long as the prices on 1170/1180 are reasonable.
>Jets will act only as a support strikes/scorestreaks
I don’t like these CoD gimmicks. I thought the game would be closer to Battlefield than modern CoD.
Jensen Huang is throwing rumors all over.
According to inside industry sources, the probability and chance for Nvidia to release this new Video card SKU is high, so it’s not totally a rumor.
Side Note….Checked out the metal site you have in your profile. Liked it !!! You own/run that site or?
I don’t directly run that website right now, as my buddy does, but I’ve been a previous contributor/reviewer for them.
Apart from this, we try to promote many global underground Metal bands, by conducting interviews, and bringing up gig/album related news, which might help the said band’s reputation.
Years ago in my youth my brothers Band Opened for Slayer,Megadeth,OverKill, etc….If you are interested I can give you a copy of their only cd. They were pretty good. Singer being the one thing that held them back who is my cousin. I partied with quite a few of those metalers. That was many years back though think mid 90’s to 2003ish….
I myself was a percussionist. Stopped playing about 12 years ago. Had to focus on my business.
Releasing it is not a rumor. When it’ll be released is from where i stand.
It starting off in ea, while also likely to put a massive focus (come on, it’s guaranteed at this point, thanks to the “gold rush”) on BR is what puts me off wanting to pick it up.
>No AI bots.
Game is as good as dead. Splendid job devs.
Huh, really? Well, if you wanna show me some videos of that, perhaps my mind can be changed.
we had the same bull$hit rumors about April
face it, Nvidia has no reason to release a card if they have no one to compete against
and like many have said, a single GTX 1080TI is good enough for 60FPS 4K on most modern titles, hence why Nvidia doesn’t want to raise the bar too much…
they’re both trash
BF V for political and design reasons
WW3 for being early access multiplayer only tripe
It already looked and sounded bad but now it’s a hard pass.
Battle Royale has become a disclaimer now similar to Early Access, Season Pass, Microtransaction, DLC, Day One Patch, and any other terms I missed. Always Online. Windows Store. UWP. Survival. Sandbox. Open World.
All of those terms mean trash, regardless of what promise they may have once held.
