Crytek has released a new gameplay trailer for its first-person PvP bounty hunting game, Hunt: Showdown. Hunt: Showdown is available on Steam Early Access and recently received a performance patch, featuring major CPU optimizations, reducing the overall memory footprint of the game and addressing the stalls and stutters that players had reported.
Hunt Showdown currently contains a 1km² map packed with hand-crafted locations for you to explore, hoards of gruesome monsters for you to fight on your way to even more savage bosses, and more than 40 weapons, tools, and other equipment. Each player will also have a Bloodline, which is a pool of Hunter characters and is also where experience from Hunters that are killed will be saved.
Enjoy!

Can I play this game as a single player? Is it a must to have a partner? This game would have done well as a single player campaign.
Sadly, no. We can’t play this game in Single player/solo mode. Only PVP.
You don’t understand the question or don’t know what you’re talking about.
Yes, you can play solo, but you run the risk of going up against people who are playing together.
Yeah, I understood his query.
You are correct. I actually used the word “Solo” in reference to Single player (in the sense we are playing alone), not PvP.
No, its you that doesn’t understand the question. We all do. We all know exactly what hes asking. He wants what most of us want. And thats PVE Coop servers without the stupid grifers to deal with.
I just wish Crytek made a SINGLE player campaign, or a story mode of some sort, given the graphical and other benefits the CRYENGINE’s latest version might bring to the table.
I don’t want the devs to waste the potential of CryEngine, on a PvP bounty hunting game. But that is just my point of view.
.
Will there ever be a sequel to the Crysis series? Crysis 4 ?
Can’t comment on that really. The DEVs haven’t decided anything on this yet.
Btw, directly taken from the WIKI’s webpage::

“With Crysis 3 being the end of the Crysis trilogy, Crytek teased that the series would have a “radical future”. Yerli confirmed that the next installment would not be called Crysis 4, as he considered such a title “misleading”.
On 12 June 2012, it was revealed that Crytek would focus only on “free-to-play” titles following the release of Crysis 3″.

So, based on this info I doubt we will get a Single Player game based on CryEngine, as of now ?
Based on Crytek’s current financial state a new Crysis game is unlikely. The last two games have been commercial flops and so has Ryse and Homefront which they developed/co-developed. It’s nearly impossible for them to get another investor/publisher to fund another big budget singleplayer game from them.
Our best bet so far of seeing another Crysis or singleplayer game from them is if Hunt: Showdown is a success and they can use the money from that to self fund the next Crysis/singleplayer game.
Thanks for the info. That indeed makes sense….
This buggy POS is DOA. Same as Lawbreakers. Waste of money. Try again Crytek!
Agreed, until they get off their lame a$$es and put in PVE content and Coop servers this game will die a horrid death quickly.
This still doesn’t interest me until it has a mode that’s PVE focused. I don’t care for last man standing schlock, and it’s already been filled by multiple games already.
I want some PVE content that puts emphasis on deadly challenges in hand crafted areas.
Im with you on this 100 percent brother.
