Microsoft and Rare have unveiled the official PC requirements for Sea of Thieves. According to the companies, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Q9450 or an AMD Phenom II X6 CPU with 4GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 or an AMD Radeon 7750.
For 1080p/60fps, Microsoft recommends an Intel i5 4690 or an AMD FX-8150 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 or an AMD Radeon R9 380X graphics card. As it becomes pretty obvious, Sea of Thieves will be a GPU-bound game.
For 4K/30fps, Microsoft suggests an Intel i5 4690 or an AMD FX-8150 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 980Ti or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56. For 4K/60fps, Microsoft claims that both NVIDIA’s and AMD’s top GPUs, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti and the AMD Radeon RX Vega 64, will be able to deliver a smooth experience on Ultra ‘Mythical’ settings.
Sea of Thieves releases on March 20th and below you can find its full PC requirements!

Ultra ‘Mythical’ settings ? Sounds funny.
Is that a Myth, or reality, that too based on Windows 10 OS ? Let’s see “Microsoft”, how this game actually runs on DX12 API….
.
As you can see in the requirements, it uses DX11, not DX12.
Yeah, that’s true. Even I saw that before.
But I thought it might just be an error, since Windows 10 OS is the only supported operating system being listed though ?, but it seems the game will use DX11.
Not a big issue though..
It’s Winstore exclusive..If i remember correctly the same happened with ReCore, it uses DX11 and it’s Winstore exclusive.
Rx 470 = Gtx 1060?
Wot…. is this dx 12 game?
Nope, only DX11.
470 is on par with 1060 3 GB though.
Because of superior memory not raw performance.
Rx 480 = Gtx 1060. Even then the 1060 outclasses it in most games.
480/580 => 1060 6 GB
470/570 > 1060 3 GB

One must acknowledge that M$ know how to detail system requirements.
that is true
Windows Store game….pffff
60GB Hdd/Ssd…pffff

Lol so even a toaster can run this at 60fps, seeing as a 7yr old AMD fx cpu can pull 60fps.
Yet the Xbox one versions only runs at 30fps, must be that painfully slow tablet cpu to blame yet again!
Where is Sp4ctr0 Spencer?
wtf is Sp4ctr0?
Obviously you have not felt the wrath of Sp4ctr0’s Xbox worshipping faggotry yet!
Will enjoy this on 540p@120fps
OUCH SORRY PIRATES UWP

Surprised they showed below minimum specs.
Watch the benchmarks with the 1080ti’s at 4k and it not reaching 60fps. I’ve been seeing these games that claim for a 1080ti to reach 60fps at 4k, and then not actually reaching that 60fps.
Wow. These are really good spec sheets. More devs should do this.
Nice in depth requirements
