Metal Gear Survive will release next month on Steam and Konami has unveiled its official PC requirements. From the looks of it, we won’t need high-end PC components in order to play this latest Metal Gear game (though I’m not so sure if a lot of players will be interested in this spin-off).
But anyway, Konami lists an Intel Core i5-4460 for the minimum CPU requirements, 4GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2GB) graphics card. Pretty low minimum requirements, especially by today’s standards.
An Intel Core i7-4790 is recommended, alongside 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 graphics card. The game will also require 20GB of free hard-disk space and will be using DirectX 11.
Metal Gear Survive will come out on February 22nd and below you can find its PC requirements that were added to the game’s Steam store page.

Thomas is a close friend to John ‘john2’ and John ‘WhatGoesAroundComesAround’. Thomas, John and John basically came with the idea of DSOGaming. Thomas has been helping John with News articles these past years, and prefers to stay in the background than the foreground.
This game is still using the good old proprietary ‘FOX Engine’, which isn’t that much demanding on the PC, though the engine has a lot of potential for optimization (like Deferred rendering, Lighting, Texture mapping/Reflections etc.).
.
Fox Engine is amazing. I wish konami would atleast contract out the engine.
It’s a shame Pachinkonami got to keep the engine, thus guaranteeing that it will never be used to make something good.
Perfoms amazing well BUT, compare mgsv with games outhere right now and its already dated.
MINIMUM: We know you won’t buy this hot trash.
RECOMMENDED: We might get bought out after this.
That’s the system recs I am looking for.
Can this game survive from metal gear hardcore fans and kojima worshipper??
Real fans may know that but we talking about you and like 5 other people at most since everyone else just blames Konami.
I always liked MGS games for it’s gameplay. Never liked their story. Which is what Kojima did right? The cinematic masterpiece they all say….ok.
So MGSV was best one for me. It was pretty much pure gameplay.
” his atrocious script, single camera angles, ”
What about mgs3?
That being said the story was trash but the gameplay was fun. Too damn long.
They should of never used the name Metal Gear, if they didn’t I bet it would do much better.
Will see what happens, but I am sure on Steam it is going to get hate dumped on, even if it is good.
Will they finally support multi-monitors?
NO ONE CARES
It can be played offline, right? I wouldn’t mind giving it a try, but my internet sucks right now, and I don’t want to ruin anyone else’s experience with terrible ping.
