New Metro: Exodus trailer surfaces, release date set for Fall 2018

Deep Silver and 4A Games have released a brand new trailer for Metro: Exodus. Metro Exodus is described as an epic, story-driven first-person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created.

Players will be able to explore the Russian wilderness across vast, non-linear levels and follow a thrilling story-line that spans an entire year through spring, summer and autumn to the depths of nuclear winter.

Inspired by the internationally best-selling novels Metro 2033 and Metro 2035 by Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro Exodus continues Artyom’s story in the greatest Metro adventure yet.

Metro Exodus will release in Fall 2018.

Enjoy!

    1. I hope it is! Even only the smell of STALKER would make me happy. Old metros were pretty good games tho, and if this turns out to be a STALKER-Y METRO, it’ll be even better imo.

    1. 1180GTX and 1180GTX on Volta generation would be totally unprofitable. Volta was just a little bit improved Pascal generation, and because gamers dont need tensors or expensive HBM2 so we would not see Volta 1180ti 1180GTX anyway. But titan series is another story, 3000$ for just 3tflops more compared to titnaXp :). I would rather buy 2’nd 1080ti, or wait for next GTX 1180 or 1180ti line based on Ampere architecture

      1. Well, Nvidia is no doubt going to have some salvage chips that were slightly defective or for some reason didn’t cut it for the professional cards and they are not going to throw such expensive to manufacture chips in the trash. There’s always yield issues when going to a smaller node at first. Something will trickle down to us gamers next year without a doubt.

My guess right now that within a year we will get midrange Voltas and a Volta Titan just like the last 3 generations. 6-9 months after that we get the 1180 Ti or 2080 Ti, whichever they name it.

Volta is a new architecture and on a smaller node (12 nm). So, with better efficiency for the same wattage envelop as previous GPUs we will get much better performance over Pascal. But as it looks right now those Voltas are going to be expensive especially if AMD brings nothing in competition until Navi.

      1. that is a very ignorant comment. nearly every single demanding game out there has been a multiplatform game you dolt.

        1. Demanding = unpotimalized . Go back and look what console games looked in 2007 when crysis come out ( PC exclusive ) and compare then with crysis . Now in 2017 compare your demanding console game on pc .They look 80% same a bit higher textures and better AA and shadows. so they either run like sh*i cuz its unpotimalized ( not demanding ) or runs it at 200 fps what is optimalized ( not demanding )
A cysisi like game today would look like like a game from 2025 . And it would be a PC exclusive . And you need 8 cores and and 2x GTX1080 to hold it on 60 fps on medium settings . Thats a “crysis” stile game .
So again . If a xbox can run it what its a cripled second hand buget pc then “its not a crysis styile game” .
I hope you get what i mean. I explaind it as best i could .

  1. Well, back in the old days i used to be excited thinking i will be able to explore those dead cities, but we all know how that turned out. So i am not excited. Back to the salt fortress of pessimism.

  2. “vast, non-linear levels”

Here’s hoping that works out well given that a large part of the Metro experience thus far has been the great immersion factor resulting from levels that were largely linear in design.

  3. Volumetric lights are back again and whole game looks amazing :). I just hope this game will run great on my 1080ti, 4K 60fps is out of question in this game, but maybe 1440p 60fps

    1. Previous two games also had that low console fov, but there were easy .ini fixes for both. It sucked that it kinda broke cutscenes that were made with that low fov in mind.

  4. Random opinions on the internet be damned! I like Metro games and hope it turns out to be another good game.

And if there were some way to bring back the Stalker series then even better but bear in mind that the series died out almost 8 years ago with Call of Pripyat which was the best of the 3 Stalker games imo.

  5. Oh boy it looks sweeeeet.. Think I might need to upgrade dat GPU of mine though, before it hits the shelves..
