Far Cry 5 – New video showcases the recreation of Montana

Ubisoft has released a new video for Far Cry 5, showcasing how it recreated Montana from a series of photographs into a living, breathing world filled with wildlife and diverse landscapes. This video shows in-game footage from this new Far Cry game and it appears that Far Cry 5 will be a really beautiful game.

And to be honest, this does not really surprise us. Watch_Dogs 2, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands look absolutely gorgeous. Yes, the latter was downgraded, however For Honor, Watch_Dogs 2 and Assassin’s Creed Origins look as good as their initial reveals. As such, we can safely say that the final build of Far Cry 5 will look similar to this video.

Far Cry 5 releases on February 27th and promises to feature the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. Players will also be able to freely explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies.

It’s also worth noting that Far Cry 5 will take advantage of Rapid Packed Math which will allow a graphics card to execute two math instructions for the price of one. This will obviously boost the performance on AMD’s GPUs (as those are the only ones supporting it right now).

Enjoy!

    1. Prolly not lol. It’s Ubisoft we’re talking about here. But we can always hope. Hope they nail the story at least.

      1. I haven’t bought a Ubi game since their CEO said all PC gamers were pirates. Blood Dragon was my last Ubi game and that won’t change.

        1. Prolly a good decision LOL. Ubisoft and EA are cancer on a different level, genericism, consolization, parity, casualization, repetitivenesses, rebrandings, franchisemilking, downgrades, lazy developers, short-cuts, cut-outs, deadlines, unrealistic sales expectations, microtransactions, consuming smaller hard-working studios and the list just goes on, just basically messing up the gaming industry bigtime.

          1. AAA-games are for console gamers. Not for shittest people in the world (pc gamers). Your platform is for indie games.

        1. No laws force you to buy anything they produce. More laws do not solve this problem. INDIVIDUAL CONSUMERS solve this problem by not purchasing things they disagree with.

  1. It looks good tjat’s for sure. Now let’s wait AFTER the obvious downgrade. I hope it’s well optimized and smooth.

  2. Why people think that downgrade is coming? They showed so much gameplay already…

Downgrade always came after showing single video on E3 that was not actual gameplay but stitched together presentation to look as good as posible.

      1. … Watch Dogs 2, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, For Honor and Assassin’s Creed: Origins where all down graded sh|t PC ports… OK.

Yes, everyone knows they did this in the early days with Far Cry 3 and 4 in comparison to the E3 video. Still both games turned out to be beautiful games(they did not suck). Really Watch Dogs 1 was the only real bad “WTF? this looks nothing like the E3 video for it looked crazy good”. If you actually played Watch Dogs 2 on the PC and others you would be aware of how they make their PC ports now. It is pretty easy to so see Ubisoft is the best large scale AAA company that supports the PC correctly and always goes way above a console port.

You might want to try their new games out on your PC, just saying.

  3. Glad to see Ubisoft finally using photogrammetry in their workflows. Hope the game will stay looking this good (It probably won’t).

  4. i have skipped most of AAA titles, this year. as soon as i know a game will have microtransactions, it is a big NO for me.

now, this farcry 5 is looking absolutely amazing.
i JUST HOPE there will be no microtransactions or loot boxes of any kind.
Wildlands had none of that sh*t, and im sure it still sold great. i had so much fun, platining it

So yeah, Pubisoft, i will be really disappointed, IF you f’ up your entire game with loot boxes.
