    1. Seems like the trend is towards storage hogs like this game. I wonder if the Developers think it gives the impression that there must be a lot to the game because of how large the storage requirements are?

        1. exactly, too cheap to invest in DRM
so they save money by both uncompressing it and by making it unpirtable (since people rarely seed a 100GB game)

          1. They will, pirates will put those installer which compress files, this affect much more to legit users who doesnt have at least 10MB of internet connection bandwidth. Also pretty sure steam installer will be compressed too. This is just because dev lazyness.

          2. as i was saying, this is probably activision al-cheapo decision to save up money on literally everything
hell the main reason why they censored the swastikas in the game was to save a few bucks on the german version

activision is eugene krabs+Scoorge Mcduck+Corporate Commander
they are literally trying to break records on making as much money while spending as little as possible

          1. Pirated versions can be played online if one so wishes. It won’t be UWP. But sure, Denuvo will stop piracy. I mean, seriously. Lately, Denuvo has never been cracked…

            this fast.

          1. How did those work for Titanfall? Is there a cracked version where someone compressed all the audio and made the game work with compressed files? I doubt it.

        2. Lol what a load of BS. You heard it here first guys!

Developers inflate their games with empty data taking up loads of space for no reason!

          Get a clue.

          1. Titanfall did it because on the fly file decompression took too much CPU resources for low end PC’s. Although they could have fixed that using the XPRESS16K algorithm instead of the far slower LZX algorithm that they used.

      1. All in game videos are compressed, it’s just a matter of compression level. Two hours of uncompressed 1080p video can take over 100GB, not to mention 4K

  1. Well i don’t really care. As long as it’s a good game with enjoyable gameplay and nice graphics. If this call of duty fits these parameters then so be it. At this point the majority of games have 500gb+ hard drives, i believe.

        1. It only takes 10 AAA games to reach 500GB these days and I don’t only use my computer for games, I need at least 1.2TB for my smug anime girls folder.

          1. Indeed lol. Keep that on an external HD with a good sized magnet just in-case le gf finds out.

          1. Remember Watch Dogs 2? Remember Ghost Recon? Remember Rainbow Six Siege? All of them look pretty nice and run rather well.

        1. I do, I’m just horsing around. For the record COD WW2 optimization is a mixed bag. Most maps in the beta ran well but one was unplayable. So yeah, not optimized a month ago. Wanna bet it’s perfect now?

    1. LOL. Compared to what, multiplayer is all about going through all the map, capturing points, killing enemies. Youll be bored in a month.

    1. you can use matchmaking on proper servers, that’s no contradiction. you may be confusing dedicated servers with having a server browser and choosing your server to play on freely. not a requirement at all, I could go without. i prefer skill-based matchmaking (without bogus pay 2 win elements obviously) to random servers like old games had, actually. one of the few things modern games sometimes get right.

    1. LOL, Stop c0cksck1ng Activision. This game obviously has better graphics than COD2 but its not better than many other games which have bigger maps and better textures. And again Activision ruined it again.

  2. What are they smoking?
    1050 is faster +22% than 660
    RX 550 is faster +5% than 660lel
    1060 is faster +10% than 970
    RX 580 is faster + 5-10% than 970
R9 390 and 970 are almost the same, one time wins R9 in the other 970

  3. New generation of Cod gamers doesnt care about historical accuracy, they dont care about history either.

  4. One always expect Activision to learn from its mistakes with every new cod, it never happens.
Guns almost have no recoil, and the game is still about running and kill everything that moves, ah and capturing points.

  5. Well, it is an Activision Published game and who the f*ck knows anything about real gaming hardware over there in their studios anyway.

    1. tbh he’s not stupid. He’s pretty smart actually. Whether he’s trolling for attention, a dedicated Xbox One X fan or a paid shill he keeps the drama rolling and people pay attention to him.

The sites he links to are spurious and the charts he posts are dubious but most people don’t question what they are being told if it has the appearance of legitimacy. It’s human nature to be lazy and go along with the crowd.

    2. I doubt XboxX is as fast as 1080ti, but looking at AC Origins benchmark at gamegpu site you can see that even 1070GTX has problems with 4K30fps in this game while xboX somehow run this game maxed out in 4K native.

      1. Unlike like you I just read all current information when it comes to games. Origins on XboxX was using checkerboard at first, then it was 4K native with dynamic resolution system, and after further optimisations dynamic resolution system is not even needed anymore because game holds native 4K all the time (at least this is what ubisoft told). When it comes to settings, we need to wait for some indeepth DigitalFoundry article. Right now I can only guess it’s close to PC max settings, because gameplays on xboxX looks very similar to what I can see on PC gameplays. I have still not played AC origins myself but if I would have to choose, I would buy PC version simply because on my 2GHz 1080ti I should run this game maxed out even better than xbox X.

      1. ummmm no Mr Internet Person. I’m a Skyrim cat. How the f*cking hell can I be a Zatara anyway? Don’t they teach you people anything in school these days :p

  6. Requiring 90GB does not mean the actual install size is 90GB. Destiny 2 requires 60+ GB, the game fills up around 38GB.

  7. 80% of people were stuttering in beta
and here i am talking 1080Ti and i9,i7 with fast DDR 4 memory 3200+
their answer was upgrade ur GTX 1080Ti its weak
