Destiny 2 feature 2

Destiny 2 gets an official PC launch trailer

Activision and Bungie have released the official Destiny 2 PC launch trailer. This trailer features gameplay footage captured from the PC version. The game will come with lots of PC features, and will be available exclusively via Battle.net.

Going into more details, Destiny 2 PC will feature an uncapped framerate, support for 4K resolutions and adjustable Field of View. In addition, PC gamers can expect support for mouse and keyboard with custom key mapping and text chat. Third-party overlay monitor tools – like MSI Afterburner – will not work properly according to Bungie. However, the game will feature an FPS counter, and PC gamers will be able to set a framerate target option via the configuration files. Last but not least, the game will come with detailed PC settings screen and 21:9 monitor support.

The open PC beta for Destiny 2 ran incredibly well on a variety of PC configurations. As such, we can safely say that Destiny 2 PC will be one of the most optimized games in 2017. Of course things can easily go South, however we are pretty sure that Vicarious Visions will not drop the ball.

Enjoy the Destiny  2 launch trailer and stay tuned for more!

    1. That’s physical sales only. A lot of people are buying digital on consoles now so that doesn’t mean anything.

        1. If PC gamers moved exclusively to digital downloads over the years because of the convenience provided by steam, why is it so hard to believe that the same thing happened with console gamers ? Reports of gamestop closing hundreds of stores seem to back up my argument. I’m too lazy but I’m sure that you can find more evidence with a quick google search. I remember reading somewhere that EA expects over 40% of their sales to be digital by the end of 2017.

        2. True. They lost a PC sale here. Though anecdotal, every single friend, family member, or coworker who was extremely hyped and bought D1 did not fall for D2 at all and wasn’t in the slightest hyped. They did not buy it even after reviews. When I hit them up to see who I could co-op with they all told me they didnt care and treated it as if it did not exist.

I did buy the standard version on PS4 after being a bit hyped from the beta on PC (so they did get a sale from me) but I was willing to double dipping on PC and buy up everything it had to offer (except loot gambling) as long as it was a good game, full of content, and packed with SP questing. It is just a themed Halo shooter grindfest MMO, with empty environments, and development efforts are focused on refining methods to force gamers into frustration to buy loot rather than meaningful questing.

Activision is hoping you gamble on the loot marketplace. GaaS games are easy to ignore now.

  1. I bet they’re hoping for all the masses of battle.net players to jump onto Desinty 2, I think not.

    1. Knowing how Blizzard slaves (fans) live their lives in total devotion of the blizzard logo, then I think their plan will work just fine.

      1. On paper, sure, but in reality, the Cult of Blizzard latches on to Blizzard products advertised & overhyped through BlizzCon & other such sycophantic sources. Destiny 2 is going through Battle-net, but it isn’t being advertised through BlizzCon, nor is it being treated as a Blizzard product by the Cult of Blizzard’s propaganda machine, so ultimately this is going to hurt Activision’s Destiny 2 a lot more than it’ll help it, as it’s just not regarded as a Blizzard product.

        1. But as long as they can stare at it in the battle.net launcher, a great many will buy it because Blizzard is standing behind the product with their PC infrastructure.

          1. Meh, debatable. After all, the Cult of Blizzard is still busy worshipping at the Altar of Overwatch, so why would they step away from their sycophantic shilling of Overwatch to play a progressive MMO like Destiny 2?

Especially if they’ve already double-dipped into the World of Warcraft MMO, as most people can really only handle actively playing one MMO at a time.

    1. Yeah, now that home releases are drying up they’re getting skimpy on extras etc. because “cost cutting = good!” Though in fact, that’s the most moronic thing to do, as the collectors will always be interested in the home releases for the sake of having them (especially for the yummy extras), so make them as viable as possible, you dumb f*cks!

But no, yeah, Hollywood Logic never ceases to amaze me.

    1. I don’t recommend it. It’s designed from the ground up with co-op in mind and all the best content requires you to have a team. I’m not saying it can’t be enjoyable solo but you will probably miss out on the best stuff and then complain.

      1. Cool, thanks for the info and heads up. I thought as much, all well there are others games to play. Too bad it was not originally designed as a SP game with optional co op and no servers.

I hope Borderlands 3 is going to own and looks sexy with some new tech, lets hope they show it (or it releases) next year.

        1. 🙂 totally lol, well we can only hope hey.

Its been in the oven for a long time now and seems like they are putting a lot of effort into it, I really hope so. For sure 1 is a classic I love it, I know what you mean they changed the focus to big moments and I rather just have it like 1 and focus on the mechanics, progression, loot and content.

          Fingers crossed.

    2. Cool, thanks I guess that seals it. I will not be getting it since I am a SP gamer and don’t have time for MP and all the stuff that goes with it and planed to play solo.

  2. Yeah this guy convinced me to stay away from D1 post disk 1 content. Love that gamers are waking up from the marketing high of GaaS games.
