New gameplay trailer released for Outcast – Second Contact

Bigben and Appeal Studio have released a new video illustrating the depth of Adelpha, one of the first 3D open worlds in the history of video games. This video shows a bit of the gameplay in Outcast – Second Contact and the depth of its unique world, in which exploration is at the heart of adventure.

According to its description, in Outcast – Second Contact, sacred portals – called Daokas – let you travel freely to the four corners of Adelpha from the very start of the game, as players search for their crewmates and the lost terrestrial probe.

To successfully complete their mission and the hundreds of side quests, players will need to gain the trust of the local inhabitants. Players can talk with the people, negotiate with rich merchants, save oppressed farmers, take on dangerous predators and even undergo a mystic ritual with the great Shamaz priests of Adelpha.

Enjoy!

  1. This game is based on that time I accidentally brushed this chick’s boob twice with my elbow at a Rob Zombie concert.

  2. Nice, can’t wait to play it. Looks really good minus some animation but I can live with that.

I am a big fan of the original it was ahead of it’s time, still have the original two CDs of the game. The epic music score always brings me back to when I first played it.

  3. alright i’ll put this on the wishlist
i vaguely remember playing through outcast and it was an intriguing experince
the sense of being lost, of being alien in a desolate world

know what? i think i’ll rebuy it on GOG and see if it’s just nostalgia or it was a crappy game from times that every game was a gem
    i’ll see soon enough
