Anno 1800 has been announced, first screenshots & Gamescom 2017 trailer

Ubisoft has just announced a new Anno game, Anno 1800. Anno 1800 will bring players to the dawn of the industrial age, a time of industrialisation, diplomacy and discovery. In order to celebrate this announcement, the big publisher has released the first screenshots and the Gamescom 2017 trailer for Anno 1800 that can be viewed below.

In Anno 1800, players will have the chance to prove their skills as a ruler, as they create huge metropolises, plan efficient logistic networks, explore and settle new lands and dominate their opponents by diplomacy, trade or warfare.

Anno 1800 promises to combine the best of what the franchise can offer: a rich city-building experience, including a story-based campaign, a highly customisable sandbox mode and the classic Anno multiplayer experience.

The game is being developed by Blue Byte and is currently planned for a Winter 2018 release.

Enjoy!

  1. It’s really nice, but i still think the graphics remained the same.
They could have improved substancially the graphics already in those games.
Great game to have vulkan and dx12 support.

  2. Strike!
    And more socialist-politically correct propaganda.

Graphically looks good, the gameplay should be the same as Anno 2205.

    1. And more socialist-politically correct propaganda.

This reminds me, a creative director for Blue Byte got caught participating in an SJW doxing ring. So yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if they included such propaganda.

    2. I’m curious… where was the socialist propaganda or political correctness in that trailer? I guess finding these things where they don’t exist seems to be a trend these days among the wannabe intellectual “gamer” community.

  3. But it’ll be tied to Uplay and likely have even more DRM stacked on top. They ruined the last ANNO so combine that with the above and I’m more than put off wanting to go for the game.

  4. Looks great, and I’m glad it finally left the sci-fi realm (I enjoyed 2070 a lot, but a historical setting is always better).
