Someone is recreating Resident Evil & The House of the Dead in Unreal Engine 4

YouTube’s ‘AlbertREWesker – Zelda as Imagined’ is currently recreating Resident Evil and The House of the Dead in Unreal Engine 4. And while the demo for The House of the Dead is in a really early stage, the one for Resident Evil seems to be in a completely playable state, and looks really spectacular.

Now we don’t know whether AlbertREWesker – Zelda as Imagined will release these demos to the public. And to be honest, it will be a shame if he does not, especially since the Resident Evil demo already seems so polished. It features an Inventory system, zombies, and proper combat mechanics. All it appears to be needing right now are more levels and enemies (and perhaps a simple story).

So yeah, while it’s a proof of concept at this point, AlbertREWesker – Zelda as Imagined could turn this into a full fledged fan game, though this seems unlikely as he has started working on The House of the Dead recreation. Still, one can dream. Oh, and that is unless Capcom (or SEGA) sends him a C&D letter.

Enjoy!

  1. It won’t be a full fledged game ever. Capcom will shut it down like they’ve shut every fan project down ever. They already remade RE1. They aren’t going to remake it again or allow anyone else to.

    1. Capcom cant shut it down because Im not realeasing anything or geting any money from my videos, and again Im not remaking any Resident Evil game, Im making my own

      1. Again, Im NOT releasing any demo, game or any stuff Im just creating my own game for personal use

  2. Lol… Didnt excpected this xD

  3. There seems to always be someone recreating a Resident Evil game, but the majority of them never end up completing it and also surviving a takedown.

  4. Im NOT publishing any demo, game or code, Im creating a game for personal use and uploading videos to show how good engine is unreal engine 4 , are these kind of pages and forums the one that are talking about a remake and that stuff, also Im NOT working on a The House of the Dead game it was a quick test I made…
