IMGN.PRO and UndeadScout announced that their game Husk will be released worldwide on February 3rd. To celebrate the announcement the creators have prepared a new trailer entitled “There is no place like home” that can be viewed below.
UndeadScout’s Lukasz Noculak said:
“We are extremely excited that in less than a month players all over the world will be able to experience our debut game – the result of our cooperation with IMGN.PRO. In our newest trailer, we unveil some secrets about the main plot. Drawing on the elements of oneiric horror, in Husk we strive to touch upon real and often very painful problems. I’d rather not reveal any more details right now –you’ll soon be able to discover them on your own!”
Husk is described as a classic FPP survival horror game inspired by titles such as Silent Hill and Alan Wake. The game includes combat, riddles, and a dark, intriguing story.
The studios behind the game are IMGN.PRO (who also created KHOLAT) and the debuting UndeadScout. The soundtrack was composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski, and the promotional song for the game, “Road With No Return”, was written and produced by Peter Klett, former guitarist and co-founder of the iconic American band Candlebox.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. I look forward to the twitch-based competitive shooting elements.
Walking simulators, now with shooting.
And this is bad cuz?
Because it’s still a walking simulator. And you know the shooting isn’t going to be fun because walking simulators are never fun. They strive to be “more than a video game” only to end up with the opposite. It’s like trying to make the purest water by adding something to water, or to make a film than films. You can’t go beyond a medium in that very medium. It’s all just pretentious nonsense by film school rejects.
Walking simulator devs are alarmingly ignorant about what makes a game good and they stubbornly keep running in the wrong direction (LESS interactivity). Interactivity is the strength of video games, not something to be consolidated to the sideline while the player is fed a carefully prepared movie-like “experience”. The entire trend is a dead-end. What you’re seeing when they add a gun to a walking simulator is, they are essentially reinventing the shooter piece by piece, really slowly. What’s next? Varied enemy types? Faster, more skillful movement mechanics? Interesting level geometry? A highscore list? None of this needs to be reinvented, we already have it. It’s similar to what COD has been going through. Formerly a series of boring, slow games, recently COD has been getting faster, more vertical etc. Activision are letting their devs slowly but surely reinvent the arena shooter for a console audience. We already had that type of game, except way better than any COD. Quit trying to reinvent the wheel. We already have the wheel. Study it, then make a good wheel.
