SolarFall Games has provided us access to Umbra’s Tech Prototype Demo, and below you can find a video showing 8 minutes of gameplay mayhem. Umbra is an isometric action RPG powered by CRYENGINE. As SolarFall noted, this tech prototype isn’t reflective of final game and story, but gives a good idea of how the final game will feel. Oh, and there is a Kickstarter campaign for Umbra in case you weren’t aware of. Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. What kind of performance do you have with this early build? It looks awesome.
35-50fps at Very High. There is no SLI support at the moment
Yeah, it looks so good, I hope that only the quality of gameplay is fluid and responsive.
it looks great but sound effect need a lot of work
Yeah the sounds aren’t even implemented yet, only some.
and those some are very bad its like the sword made from woods
Ok this game is really stunning alright… I’m watching this project closely from now on. A lot of potential here.
It looks beautiful, but one thing I’m afraid they won’t fix is insta-turning of the character. It’s a fad in recent games of this type, but in my opinion it’s just devs’ laziness that makes it a thing. In a game with such good graphics, that is more visible than ever.
Looks pretty! Just a word to the author: The view isn’t isometric, I believe it’s called a three-quarter view 🙂
