Microids has just released a new gameplay trailer for The Smurfs – Dreams. And, to my surprise, in this trailer, this new The Smurfs game feels like a Super Mario 3D World clone. Which is good.
For those unaware, The Smurfs – Dreams is a new 3D platformer that will be coming soon to the PC. This new The Smurfs game will support solo and co-op modes. As such, players will be able to team up with their friends to play the game.
The game promises to have diverse realms with their own set of challenges and surprises. There will be 4 dreamy worlds with 12 levels and 16 mini-levels to conquer.
Players will be able to use their movements and tools to overcome the many challenges dreamt by the Smurfs. They’ll also be able to collect magic orbs and patterns to customize their Smurf.
As I said, I’m pleasantly surprised by this trailer. We all know that Nintendo won’t release any of its Mario games on PC. At least for the foreseeable future. So, a clone of a 3D Mario game is exactly what a lot of non-Nintendo fans have been wanting. And it appears that this will be a pretty good one.
Microids will release The Smurfs – Dreams on October 24th. From what I’ve seen, the publisher hasn’t shared yet the game’s PC requirements.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

The Smurfs platformers and party games are excellent and hugely underrated. They can easily compete with Nintendo and they're always available on GOG on launch day.
The Smurfs mission Vileaf is $4 atm on GOG, that's a steal compared to what Nintendo charges for their Mario games.
If you played through all the Smurfs platformers games, Les Sisters series is good too. It's not as good as the Smurfs, but it's decent.
None of these games are hardcore platformers, don't expect Hollow Knight, they're just fun games very similar to what you would expect from a Nintendo game.
Microids should bring more games over to GOG, liker My Universe series, the Les Sisters series and the Smurfs kart racer. My Universe, Green Adventure is very nice if you're into farm sims or you have a younger gamer in your household.
This definitely looks like a copy in a lot of ways of 3d world which is easy to emu w I think cemu buttery smooth of course. Nice to get similar native pc though although at this point prob an emu of a pretty old game like 3d world is same or less hw usage then a new game. Have to check these smurf games out I guess.
There is just not enough couch-coop games for the PC platform! Gladly welcomed and looking forward!
looks cute !
The kids will love it. Fingers crossed Microids can deliver a fun experience.
